In app purchases does not a free game make.

Hate it when good games go evil and introduce the freemium bullshit.
    It's a shame, not a bargain

    • Nah bro, you only buy those if you're retarded. I easily got all the hidden gems and gold stars in all levels without paying a cent. Literally. Got the game for free too from Starbucks or something.

Yeh, it's not a freemium game… those are there to help you if you want to pay money but are my no means necessary to purchase.

How can you all Neg his comments …. Completely legit comments this kind of marketing is the new standard for Apple apps! Release an average product that has been disabled till you hand over cash!

It's not a bargain just us advertising the new "App Model" that's acceptable because the original price is free!.,?

My comments reflect on apple not nessesarily the product listed here!

    • There's nothing whatsoever disabled in the game. In-app purchases are not needed to get through the game at all in any way. If you want to skip levels because you find them to hard then you can buy your way through.

    • Except in this case rimwar (as best I know, I haven't played the game) NOTHING has been disabled: all game features are available, and it is not crippleware.

Btw not all freemium apps are rubbish. For example, Paper by 53 is a gem of an app: very capable without requiring you to pay a cent. BUT, it could do a LOT more if you pay more, which I think is fair.

It's a constant challenge for devs: how do they get their work paid for, so they can actually continue working on apps? Freemium is one way to get their work out there so potential buyers can get a good feel for what the app can do for them, and could then choose to pay more for extra capability.

Regardless, the large majority of developers who would like to make money don't make any at all, for many reasons. Some because the product is crap. Some because it's just not good enough in a sea of same-same. Others because they are not discovered, even though they're dam good.

  • Wow. Super addictive game. Thanks to the OP. BTW as previous folks have said you don't need to spend anything to progress either. After playing the game for a while I'd say i would have happily payed for it.
