Was just wondering, do you guys reckon there is going to be a price drop on the nexus 5 any time soon?

Would you guys recommend any other phone around this price range? (32gb nexus 5). The GPS on my S3 died so I need a new phone :( (Yes, I have tried the screw method, also opened it up and tried to raise the gps contact metal)
No way unless Google plan on releasing the nexus 6 very soon
It's already a very good price and Google are actually not making much margin from them.
Yes, I know teardown websites suggest otherwise, but they only take into account the parts and not the allocated costs such as advertising, cost of retailing, R&D…etc.
I always think those teardown sites are funny that way, like all the components, software, marketing and the rest just threw themselves together and landed in the end-user's hands.
They may as well go all the way and say the teardown price is $0, because all of it started off in the ground to begin with and before humans there was no claim to the land so it's all free.
N4 got a price drop in August, i'm assuming the 5 will get a price drop at around the same time
Not likely.
It'll probably be sometime next year like with the $100 drop on the N4 right before the N5 was released.
