The key isn't given out INSTANTLY though - I applied for a key a couple of hours ago but I didn't get a key yet. It's 2am in Korea right now, so I'm guessing Blizzard has to press buttons to activate these giveaways.

    Hmm interesting, did you opt in for the closed beta before December 16 directly from Blizzard? cause I know a lot of people have been getting their keys (myself included a few days ago, check junkmail).

    Good find though!

    FYI Korea is only 2 hours behind AEST

      I actually traded 2 TF2 keys for a Hearthstone key a couple of days ago then I got a key from Blizzard the next morning!

      I ended up trading that beta key for 2 TF2 keys yesterday :P

      yup, but its much easier to pick up but at the same time hard to master. caters for casuals and hardcore really well

    I've been playing Hearthstone for a few months now. Fantastic game! Definitely sign up for this to get a key. However, open beta should be starting in a couple of weeks. So don't stress if you don't get a key from this deal.

      For anyone who doesn't know what Hearthstone is, it's a game in production (beta) so it lets a large number of users test out the game until they resolve all the issues. It is very much like Magic The Gathering, a card game where you summon monsters except Hearthstone is completely online. It's a very decent game, like all blizzard games.
