Apple iPod Nano 16GB 7th Gen $155.00 plus BONUS JBL Micro II Speaker @ JB Hi Fi Instore

70

MOD: Original image / receipt — with our price matching deal posting guidelines, price match deals should not be posted / linked to the merchant that does the price matching. Rather, link should go to the merchant offering the price to be price matched against, which is Harvey Norman in this case.

I went to my local JB HiFi today to purchase an iPod Nano 16GB 7th Gen. They were selling them for $168.00 but told them Harvey Norman was selling them for $156.00. I asked the sales rep to do a better price and told me I could have it for $155.00.

He then went and grabbed me a JBL Micro II wireless speaker valued at $49.99 for free. Apparently its a promotional thing they have going.

Once I purchased the iPod and I felt quite hungry. So I then went to my local Subway and purchased a footlong BMT sub on honey oat bread, toasted, all salads and honey mustard sauce with my $7 voucher.

iPod Nanos don't drop in price that often so this isn't such a bad deal (but not the best either).

This deal is not posted on their website but I attached a copy of the receipt. Cheers.

The visit to Subway added a real dimension of truth to your post.

What happened after Subway??? WE MUST KNOW

I went home soonafter to stop myself from spending anymore money. As I got home I immediately quenched my thirst be drinking water as i did not purchase a beverage at Subway (because the $7 coupon didn't come with a beverage).

Price matching is not a deal. Plus ipod nano are usually $149 at office work. http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Aud…

And i was told the bonus speak is a specific store offer.

    • Officeworks is out of stock in QLD….. it ain't a deal if there's no stock lol

    • $149 is a catalogue offer price at Officeworks not their regular price. Before Xmas I managed to get a Dick Smith cashier to price match from the OW catalogue, & paid with Dick Smith gift cards I'd bought at 10% off. Brought my actual cost down to $135. Very happy with that deal.

is the speakers wireless? i can see on the jbl website there is a wireless version but the II is not

    • Yeah i dont think it is wireless, need an aux connection.

    • unfortunately its the non-wireless version. does have a rechargeable battery which is good.

      • You should change the title and description to be less misleading.

  • Only get free speaker with ipod touch at roselands store.

  • Sandwich description in title please

  • How did you get the voucher for subway? This is amazing story, i must know.

    • It was sent through the mail with all the other junk mail stuff lol

  • I don't get it. Except for the size of an iPod nano is smaller why wouldn't people just get an iPod touch 16gb for $178 from TGG deal weeks ago with bonus ipod shuffle?

    • If you have iphone no reason to want a touch, but nano is great when you want to have a very portable music player on you (eg. for gym, when running, etc). Nano has pedometer, & is very light & small, unlike the touch which is a pain in the ass to wear exercising. The shuffle is almost useless as a music player with just 2GB memory & shuffle only play mode.

    • I recently switched from an iPhone 4S to Nexus 5. I decided not to buy the iPod Touch is because I want to carry 2 bulky devices around. iPod Nano does the job for me :0
