          There is another way - phone a friend who has a PC with iTunes. Ask him or her to setup a new US iTunes account for you (since it is free) and get the movie.

    I've got a US account too. All you need to do is get a free app, and when you get to the payment method, select "None". Addresses and phone numbers can be retrieved from Fake Name Generator.

    Hint: If you plan on buying US store credit for content, look for an address that is placed in a state that doesn't incur taxes (e.g. Portland, OR)

        Best deal I got was the USD $9.99 Harry Potter complete movie series in HD. Ended up a price error, but I got in early. Trick is to have some credit in the iTunes account. Mine was literally sitting in there for years!

        It was back in the day! I only use credit to buy movies or TV shows that seem to take months to reach the Australian store.

        Buying from US iTunes store is not new. People here have been doing it for years.

        To purchase items (non-free items) from an US iTunes account, you could get an US iTunes card from feeBay. Unlike the AU iTunes cards, you will find US iTunes cards selling at a price higher than the actual card price - because the sellers know that you either want to buy cheaper apps/songs/videos or you want to buy apps/songs/videos only available in US iTunes store.

        Perhaps American Express cards would work also, unsure though.
