      cheers eastern

  • You might want to add the model in your title (Ie. 2012 model? Or 2013)

Were they really trying to sell the 2012 model for $288? The cheapest I saw a 2013 model for was $279.

    • yeah, the cheapest I saw a 2012 model for was $148.

  • I was considering this 2012 model and the 2013 model and decided to go with the 2013 model due to the better screen @ $279.

    • Get OW to PM it for $265.

      • I went to officeworks for the 5% discount, but on their website is $333 but in store is $279, so no discount :(

        • I too have suffered the same fate. You go to OW in the hope of 5% discount, but in all likelihood they would have reduced their price by then

        • I have a staff discount card, so I get 5% off anyway in times like these.

This means I can go get one myself for $265… Hmmm. Now that's an idea. Oh shoot.

Which store did you go to?

I've had trouble getting them to price match Bing Lee. I always have a lot of explaining to do, because they always say "We've never heard of them". And then they go onto the talk about how they can't match imports like Kogan, it has to have australian warranty, and all that jazz.

      • OW flat out refused to price match for me yesterday :(
Guess I should try a different store

        • if you are in nsw, you can always go to binglee & get it at that price :)

Not worth getting this crappy old model when the new 2013 model is only $70-80 more.

This is old OLD OLD Tech - if you are considering this then just buy used.

I picked one up from OW (floor stock) after returning the horrible Pendo 7".It must have only just gone out as was in perfect conditiion. They sold it to me for $144. Using in the car as a backseat entertainment device

"old OLD OLD Tech"…..the Nexus was the first quad-core device on the market. Even this old model can hold its own in todays market, expecitally when its flooded with crappy Pendo tablets.

      "old OLD OLD Tech"

Old tech I agree but probably not old OLD OLD tech. It has HD resolution, quad core and 4.3 OS.

Some new models that just came out do not even has such spec, for example, the Galaxy Tab 3 7" only has 1024x600 resolution.

Having said that, I think the price should be around $150 to call it bargain because it has been out for a while and has been superseded by the second generation.

It has Kit Kat 4.4.2 :)

It is the old one. I would not pay more than $100 for the old one .

  • I got it from david jones city store, the girl at the counter priced match to $279 for me and got me discounted accessories which made it worth going there than OW pricematch.
