I own To The Moon, Papo & Yo and Joe Danger 2 - all are great games!

Don't hesitate, just buy this! :)

For those who were wondering, Humble ran a promotion for this event: The first 1,000 buyers to pay $9.99 or more received, in addition to the BTA games, Starbound..

Was up at 4:00AM on the dot, still didn't get the game.

    • +1

Damn, really want to get Starbound.

    • Amazing deal. Have played starbound quite a bit recently - incredibly addictive game (and it's only in Alpha!). Shame you missed out :(

    • +2

…which is why the average started so high. ($6.83 when I looked).
Wait for a while and it will come down.

In the meanwhile you can do your bit by buying for $0.01

      • Done and done.

Starbound looks good, wonder if it will be a minecraft killer.

        • It won't be a Minecraft killer. Different purposes. Starbound is basically a futuristic version of Terraria (although not as good atm IMO), and Terraria certainly wasn't a Minecraft killer (although it was a better game IMO).

Do hesitate since the pay more than the average is actually decreasing in cost, was more than $7 when I first checked.

    • changed from 6.41 to 6.45 in the time I was reading about all the games.

unless people pay more than the beat the average, it doesn't go down (obviously).. most buyers appear to be the $1 minimum for steam key buyers - so the price goes up.

That's the opposite of how it works. Its on of the other bundle stores that when someone pays alot, it goes down for everyone else.

As far as I am aware Humble works on a real average. So when it started everyone paid $10 to get Starbound, so the average was high. Now that people are either paying 1 cent more than the average to get the BTA (which would slowly make the price go up) or only $1 (which is a long way below the average and early on with few sales) it makes a greater impact and makes the price go down.

Down to $6.30 as I type this. Of course the money is for charity and the developers still need to eat, so you should pay as much as you want to and think its worth.

      • Other way around, if people pay more then the average the price goes up, likewise the people paying less bring it down (since it is the average of the amounts that all people have payed, you may be thinking of indieroyale which has a pricing structure similar to what you describe)

Most people appear to pay around the average as after the first day the price doesn't fluctuate too much (unless there is something good in the non-BTA bundle)

      • Its now 6.28

    Surgeon Stimulator '13

    Heh.

    • +3

Oh God, typing @ 6am does do some weird stuff to you. FYI all the copies of Starbound were gone in less than 90 seconds.

      • I posted a deal for a Humble Bundle way back when, and made a similar typo with one of the games. It was pretty funny. Same issue, posting it at 6am.

        • +2

This just reminds me of how disappointed I am that Gracious Space Brothers never got made…

        • Sorry to get your hopes up!

    • +2

Don't forget Sturgeon Stimulator for the fish lovers.

  • +1

    Dont buy it now

The BTA is dropping like a rock because of massive anger at humble and its starbound for $10 deal

    • yer it has dropped to $6

    • …or you could pay a little more for charity :)

      • for which I did… I paid more but as stated above people are upset and are forcing the price down

        • Good work, but my reply is directed at the person instructing others not to buy now.

      • I normally pay at least $25 BTA but this time after waking up at 5.50 am and missing out has left a bad taste in my mouth

        Groupees >> humble

    • +4

Why are people angry? Didn't they announce there would only be 1k keys? They did on twitter at least..(although not which game it would be)

      • +4

People who pre-ordered Starbound are a bit miffed given the game isn't out yet and already other people have been able to buy it cheaper (not to mention getting the rest of the bundle with it).

  • sold for $6.24!

  • Going to wait this one out.

  • +1

quite sneaky, putting the average up by using this starbound deal.

they have been using "beat $6" instead of BTA recently too.

i guess its all still for charity but still…. sneaky

    • +2

I think that is mostly for the weekly bundles

    • To tell you the truth, I've becoming quite weary of the whole humble bundle pricing additions and changes recently.

However, they are making really good money!

  • $5.93 currently

    • still coming down - $5.80

my suggestion, do one transaction of 1 cent.

THEN BTA. you'll get all games, but you'll help bring the average down for the next person.

2 transactions $5.81, average for two transactions is $2.90ish everyones happy.

      • i would doubt that would be counted as 2 transactions. everyone should make a fake acct and do a 1cent transaction for this to work.

        • possibly, but I don't think what account it's from matters.

Total payments in dollars/Number of purchases. And I think you can do more than one transaction per email.

and they get the average from that.

        • +5

Are you guys seriously trying to come up with a scheme to screw up the average for a site that is literally a charity?

Christ, this has got to be rock bottom for cheapness.

Anyone who doesnt want Surgeon stimulator?

    • Was gonna offer to trade past Humble Bundle unused steam keys like Mirrors Edge or Red Faction or something, but ok nvm

  • I'm interested in To The Moon!

  • Average price now $5.75.

  • Are any of these games available on steam?

    • +1

Yes, pay more than $1 to get them steam codes.

      • +1

OK Thanks. Just wanted to make sure as they didn't have the steam icon above the images.

    • +4

Anyone wanting games should just be buying the damn bundle. It really isn't that expensive.

  • To the Moon tells a great story. I didn't feel the gameplay was mind blowing or even good, but it's worth it to play through just for the plot.

  • Picked up the bundle at $5.45. For those gaming on Mac OS X, 4 of the 6 games are not directly available via Steam (Reus and Papo & Yo) - they are still in beta and need to be downloaded separately.
