      MyLED

    • Need this Strobe function, so i can put it as bicycle front light.

Don't be an idiot. There are far too bright to be used on the road in strobe. Dangerous. You want to be seen, not dazzle the driver.
And also, the strobe is much too fast.
Blinky light should be low-power and 2Hz.

      • I really hate it when those bicycle have a really bright flashing light and they don't care anyone else but them.
the light makes car driver dizzy and may end up with accident(maybe slamming the cyclist)….why they never think of it?

  • For those that were able to buy it…did anyone get a confirmation email?

    • If you are a registered user on myled , then you will get the confirmation email. If you place order as guest , then you will not get the email since you did't fill the email .

Thanks very much for your concerned

      Myled

      • Ok thanks for that..is there a place on your website to track the status of the order with the number i got at the end of the transaction? Thanks.

I think alot of OzBargainers are going to be buying this torch on the assumption that it's the same one that has featured in many deals prior.

If this is the specific 14500 lithium version of this Sipik clone (explains the price - not a big seller), expect a very dim torch with a AA alkaline and an even dimmer one with a AA rechargeable.

Dangers and specific charger requirements aside, also be aware that 14500 lithiums have about a third of the capacity of a NiMH rechargeable.

This is a crazy cheap price though for this torch - I'd be intrigued to know how many MyLed bought and at what price. A bit like JungleJumble and their 12,000 unit Olin voice recorder buy-up, I suspect. In other words, dirt-cheap.

    • Hi Tas ,

I appreciate you detailed comments .

This time we did provide you a good price ,but this comes good quality .

      Thx for your time

      MyLED

    • be aware that 14500 lithiums have about a third of the capacity of a NiMH rechargeable.

Are you unaware that li-ion is 3x the voltage? The energy capacity is similar, higher in a better quality one.

      • I am keenly aware that lithium ion cells are three times the voltage, as my dozens of comments on OzBargain on the subject of lithiums, their properties and their issues would indicate.
Just trying to let people know that compared to the regular AA Sipik clones that they may own, they will get quite a shock as relates runtime when using 14500's.

They, incidentally, might also get a fire-related shock if they buy any of the many, high internal resistance, unprotected 14500's swimming in the marketplace and then team them with any of the many, cheap, poor quality chargers coming out of China.

    • That looks like sensible advice to me. Thank you.

      • +1

        Thanks from me, PJC.

  • tried to order but no free shipping method

    • +1

It isn't free shipping, it's $1 for the torch + $1.18 shipping so $2.18 total as per the title.

  • Sorry Rep, I'm getting "Unable to place the order" in a red box right at the end of the process.

Meh, got bored and gave up. Thanks anyway.

    • Hi SteveAndBelle ,

That will be great if you can clear the cached.

  • Site back up - All good just ordered

    • ya ,thank you stewartedin

  • Website is back up albeit slow. Just placed an order. Thanks Rep!

    • Hi cheese510 ,

Thx for your support ,enjoy the deal

      Myled

      • Hi REP, im sending you a PM with some requirements i would like if you could help me out with a quote?

  • Placed an order. A bit confusing. Change currency to AUD and it becomes $2.38. Which is a good exchange rate. But reach checkout and final submission and it says in bold "Grand Total" $2.38, but line underneath says "Grand Total to be Charged" $2.18, which I assume is the USD price. However, on PayPal I have been charged $2.38 in AUD which is good. Perhaps change that final line from "Grand Total to be Charged" to something like "Grand Total in USD Equivalent" or something, or get rid of it altogether if you don't need it.

    • Hi ScaryZombie ,

Your advice is important to me .

Thx for this and your order

    • HI MarkB4,

Very Nice to hear your voice to comment me , thx very much !

Hope you often come back to buy

      MyLED

  • It didn't stop me from buying, but I don't see this deal turning out well for some reason. Hope I'm wrong.

  • Rep, how much $$$ for 11 torches please

  • Thanks, worked for Herp.

  • worked fine for me just now

  • +3

change the currency to AUD on website, total = AUD $2.38

if paid by USD (fees by PayPal), total = AUD $2.55
how evil it is for PayPal? avoid using their rates at all cost!

    • +2

LOL, I even get a -NEG for telling people how to get this deal @ cheaper price…..

  • THANK YOU REP - I LOVE YOUR DEAL.

  • Where can I buy this 14550 battery and charger in Sydney? Mr. Google shows either US retailers or China wholesalers, but nothing locally.

    • 14500 = AA

      • +2

        In size only.

alvian, you can buy a (manufacturer and quality unknown, but probably ok) 14500 lithium ion from Jaycar for a not cheap $9.95, or for the same price a 14500 LiFePO4 battery (slightly lower capacity and voltage but safer chemistry).
Each requires a very specific and different charger type. I'm sure they will sell you something (again, not cheap), which will do the job.

  • Thanks order placed. Now the wait :)

  • Just ordered mine for a total of $2.52 due to currency conversion. Thanks OP!

    • Its $2.38 for me, what a bargain :-)

  • -5

Very good price but to much mucking around filling all the details took me 10 minutes in my phone

    • Took me <2 mins on a PC. Not that hard, and not worth the neg.

  • if you hit the pay with paypal option it doesn't add on the price of shipping

    • +1

u add after u login into paypal.

  • +1

After paying via paypal, I get to the confirm address screen at the myled website and it keeps telling me "unable to place order" with no further details. Again, this is after my paypal payment has already received. Not good…

Will continue attempting to process for a 4th and 5th time and see how it goes, or see if the rep can suggest what has gone wrong, else will neg the deal.

    • +1

Same thing you had, so I went to the basket hit checkout on top right and register, after 3 times it went through.

    • +1

      Same error. Waste of time.

    • Same for me - paid my $2.38 through Paypal - then had to confirm details (which Paypal already had) then it told me unable to place order.
I am on the verge of negging deal because of it.
So rep - has my order been placed or not?

    • just keep pressing the confirm until it goes through. if you read back you will see it happens to people randomly

    • Tried a dozen times, without success before website changed it's error to, "Unable to initialize Express Checkout".

Rep - how do I get either my money back or my torch?

  • Well, it looks really cheap, I almost put the order,
BUT, when I look into Ebay, there are so many similar flash light selling even cheaper !

And if you look carefully when you check out on Myled.com, you can see the items are ship form China Shenzen,
So I dont think the flash light here has any different from Ebay.

    • it's different when you compare it with a Q3, or a Q5 with 1-Mode

  • Finally got through $2.52 aud

  • nice price but the site is as slow as an old mole at a christening.

    • nothing paypal wont fix

    • +3

Hichina is only a web hosting company.

    • +2

@josephchi - What has the hosting company got to do with it?

      http://www.net.cn/about/
"over 50,000 sites use Hichina Web site building services"

      InterNIC Accredited Registrar Directory
      http://www.internic.net/registrars/registrar-420.html
"HiChina is the leading web hosting and domain name services provider in China. Founded in 1996"

As to the legitimacy of myled.com, they posted their first deal 6 December 2013 and someone (a member since 8 Jul 2009) reported back that they got their order:

Being a tight arse, my instinct from the left brain told me to buy it ASAP away but being a savvy OZBargainer, my right brain told me to check the comments first. I am so grateful that all OZBargainers are a bunch of decent people who posts their feed backs if the deal is a real bargain.

Thank you all, 'cos I think I just saved myself $2! Lesson to learn? Never click the deal without checking the comment section first!

    • +1

Now, which comments could have possibly deterred you from spending your $2.38?
All I can see is quality OzB comments with most people seeming to order.
Mind you, most of those who have ordered will have trouble finding space to store this in that drawer stuffed with about 50 Cree torches
