I need this for exams next week and found Officeworks and BigW offering the Casio FX82Au-Plus for $17.74, best price I can find. I know these were required in my high-school so maybe some parents who will need to buy shortly.

Nice unboxing by Numberphile of the Casio FX85GT

  • Typo in this post, it is the plus II that is on sale, the plus (without the II) is still for sale at BigW around the $30 mark.

    • What you just said is confusing, because the link is currently going to BigW, and not for $30.

BigW is selling the Plus (older model) for $17.74

Officeworks is selling the PlusII (current model) for $17.74, Link provided in JSQUARED's comment above.

The PlusII has a couple of new abilities, so if you're buying it for school purposes, it's possible that you'll need those abilities. I can remember one extra function is the ability to check the "truth" of a mathematical statement in some way, can't remember the rest.

      • Big W is selling the Plus II for the same price as the Plus in store AFAIK.

      • In store today the plus II was $17.74. The old model was also still on the shelf but without a discounted price, so I was saying for those going in store take care to grab the plus II model.

  • I personally prefer the sharp scientific calculators.. I find the casio hard to use..

You need to be doing school exams to need this. Anyone else can buy any other cheap calculator or use their phone etc.

If people are considering jumping on this please think that you may be denying the opportunity for actual children who need one
