Is this an actual Intel mouse? I didn't think they made any. This looks like a knock-off Microsoft Arc mouse. Do you mean IntelliMouse?

    • I was also wondering. It's sold in a few places, like here and here, but I think it is a knock-off mouse with Intel branding, maybe as marketing merchandise.
Still a good price, but not a premium mouse.

    • +3

they just buy from oem manufacturers and brand them intel

these mice are uncomfortable and have crap tracking

Or,… you can toss a 50c coin into a bin, you pick.

    Hi Rep,

I have still not received pickup confirmation for previous generic backpack order. Tried to send PM to you here but you haven't replied yet.

  • -2

Notting hill is close to my house
Can i go and buy it from there ?
Or do i have to purchase it online ?

    • +6

      Yes, it's clearly stated above?

  • I think I'll pass on this one, good price though! :)

  • That thing looks hideous and uncomfortable. I'd rather use an Intellimouse 2.0 (ball mouse) from 1994 - those things were great.

    • I'd rather use an Intellimouse 2.0 (ball mouse) from 1994

You really do have an unhealthy fixation with outdated technology. Not that I'm saying everything newer is by default better, but you are quite the Neophobe with your staunch advocacy of Windows XP, CRT televisions, optical media and now ball mice, lol.

      • Nevermind my above comment. I misread it as being a Microsoft mouse, not Intel. No wonder it's rubbish. Microsoft usually put out good mice.

  • @Rep I have filled all the info & submitted the order for west melb pick but then it fails & says try again

    • Yep Same Problem…

      Rep Response?

      • @haxxa - try a few times.. its just took mine… hope i can pick it up this evenign itself… Rep??

  • OZBARGAINED!!

  • it says out of stock

  • Showing in stock
But when i put it to cart
    It says out of stock
    Lolz

More stock released just then. Sorry - initial offer is now sold out.

      • why are you not replying to my comments above about my previous order nor replying PM?

        • Because they have no customer support department LOL (nor manners).. read my other post below.

  • +3

For 50c, you can't go much wrong. Couldn't buy the parts for that much.

If it's anything like a Microsoft Arc mouse, then it's very handy. My Arc, which I carry around with my laptop, folds up very compactly, and lasts months on a few AAA batteries, even using it quite regularly.

Never heard of Intel making wireless mouse, but bought one anyway. Thanks CPL.

PayPal is listed in the description but does not seem to be an option when placing an order?

    • yeah same

      • same here

  • There was an error processing your order…

    Tried in Opera and Firefox.

    Edit:
Success after clicking retry 10 times.

    • The requested quantity for "Intel Foldable Wireless Mouse - Ozbargain Special 31.01.2014 Only" is not available

    Guess I missed out.

    • same here..

  • Out of stock.

  • Rep, any more for a 3rd chance?

    • We'll have a look at who ends up coming in to pick up their orders. Who knows. Maybe enough orders will be unpaid/uncollected for us to run a mini-version next week.

  • Out of stock as of 1:35pm

this is a sham, I went to the store physically to pick up but they insisted I do online order

tried to do it in front of them, the website is offline, they won't let me buy it

then it comes online and then the requested quantity of 1 is not available, they still don't let me buy it

    • you got scammed. Prolly a totally crap mouse anyway. Imagine how much your hand would hurt after using this awful design. I think you avoided carpal tunnel etc.

    • +3

The deal above said "Online order only. In-stock pick up available….".

      • he TRIED doing in online instore. Read much?

        • It was probably sold out by then

      • +1

Just typical of CPL customer service. ie cannot complain about service as there is none.

    • And Rep is still not replying to me what happened to my previous order after continuously trying to contact him.

    • Perhaps they are just trying to keep it fair? If not done via online order, how else would they proof that someone at the store didn't just buy up all the stocks and flog it on eBay?

  • I paid via bank transfer. Will you be sending me an email once payment has gone through to use as proof?

  • +1

Zero customer service. They said its policy that I order it online, made me mad that they had a whole shelf of it in store

  • +4

Well, that is CPL for you. You get cheap deals (compared to Dick Smith, JB, Office Works and Harvey Norman)…. BUT customer service is ZERO. Employees are actually rude! Went in store 2 weeks ago and some client had to sign a paper.. and the client asked "Where?" The guy cracked it at him and said, read the damn paper and sign where it says to sign…:o WHAT IS THAT?!

This was North Melbourne store BTW!

Oh, not to mention that on their invoice they had 2 spelling mistakes on their return policy (printed at the bottom).. which I find hilarious for such a well-known company.

    • Really? I have been to CPL too but never felt wrong about their customer experience.

On the other hand, I have found JB Hifi, Good guys etc staff to be rude. I had to return to a mobile which I bought form JB Hifi, and I reached 10 minutes before the shop was closing. The guys over there carelessly expressed that they cant work on my case as their work shift is ending soon and they don't can't spend 5-10 minutes extra to solve my issue (to help a customer who drove to them covering 18 KM!).

Similarly I went to good guys the same day and I wanted to show the sales Rep a comment on oz bargain about the price of a mobile. The guy rudely said "I wont even look into it!". WTF? He could use better words if that was not acceptable. Also, I was claiming to them that my cousin bought a mobile on cheaper price from same store but different location. In the end they said this with a stupid smile "You cousin must by lying to you".

      • +1

        Oliman -

You expected the staff at JB Hifi to work extra just to help you?
They will only work up until they get paid to, I thinks it's unreasonable they should have to work after their 'closing hours' and not get any pay for it…

If they did they would be working until 10 at night just because they just helped someone after closing hours before…

      • The guys over there carelessly expressed that they cant work on my case as their work shift is ending soon and they don't can't spend 5-10 minutes extra to solve my issue (to help a customer who drove to them covering 18 KM!).

So are you gonna pay them for overtime if they stay extra 10 mins for you? Can't wait for tomorrow?
How far you drove or how you got there isn't their problem to be honest.

        • +1

          Hi Mattwilko & JLove,

Well opening hours means that all the customers who came in during that time will be served!

I was at commonwealth bank the other day and I barely make it to the bank just 3 minutes before it was closing.

They closed the door after 3 minutes but served all the customers who were inside!

This is how it is supposed to be done, especially in big stores like JB hifi etc

        • This is how it is supposed to be done, especially in big stores like JB hifi etc

Is that a new law or policy that every store has to abide by? Or something stores do to be nice?

Im guessing you have never worked in retail.

        • I have no 'Retail' work experience but a 'customer preference' should be the highest priority.

    • yes, I agree.

I had a bad experience few weeks ago with this company. They would try to find an excuse to deny your order. If they are not going to honor their deal, don't run any promotion. I won't anything from them again.

  • The best thing about CPL is their huge range of items actually IN STOCK. Try to find another etailer/retailer with so much actually in store and you'll be looking for a very long time.

The WORST thing (instore) is that guys are walking around seemingly doing nothing while you wait and wait and wait for the ONE person who is actually serving customers to get to you.

I agree that their attitude seems to be THE CUSTOMER COMES LAST (with the exception of Steve, the American/Canadian guy at Notting Hill - he really gives a crap to move things along. Without him, they'd be a lost cause in regard to service).

…and NEVER ask them to price match MSY, as they just reply "our boss HATES MSY" and say no. Odd thing is that if they did, they would have stolen the sale from MSY instead of you going there instead! Logical huh?

I ordered online and picked up the mouse at West Melbourne today. Deal is legit.

    • did you receive pickup confirmation before you went there?

      • No. With CPL, if you're going to pick up from a store, you just need to rock up. Don't need to wait for any confirmation emails

  • i bought one of these for like $4 on ebay

  • +1

Picked up in store after buying on-line earlier today and receiving an order confirmation email. No issues at all with the customer service. The mouse is great and works like a charm. Top deal.

  • +3

Picked one up yesterday at Notting Hill yesterday. Printed on the bottom is
"This is not an Intel product. This is promotional item. Not for re-sale". Build quality is low which is to be expected for something that's a give away item. Worth a a quick trip @ 50c, but probably not $7.45 for postage or going out of your way for. They wanted ID for confirmation then insisted in photocopying it. You may want to take something other than a drivers licence with less personal info on it if you prefer not to share these details.

    • +1

This is not an Intel product

CPL is illegally misreprenting - "Intel Foldable Wireless Mouse - Ozbargain Special" implies Intel is the manufacturer. Misrepresentation is probably something CPL didn't think will worry OzBs too much and it seems they were right!

      • Because it doesn't worry us…

      • It's a sticker on the mouse itself so it might not be CPL doing. They just happen to have the promo stock on hand which they are legally not allow to sell hence the promo.

  • Finally received this… "Not for re-sale" promotional item only. "This is not an Intel product".

Totally not worth the postage cost but live and learn.
