It works out cheaper than a one way taxi fare for me to use it. I just have to remember to have a coffee if my plane arrives in MEL more than 2 hours earlier than planned or else it will cost me a lot more money.

      That's one of the rudest things people can do, and I applaud you for your response. Interrupting people to say something is like saying "I don't care how important what you are saying is, what I'm about to say is more important than anything you could possibly say". And for those that use the excuse "I have to say it or I'll forget", if you can't remember something important then you're muddying our genepool. Get out, please.

    I cannot believe how much parking at the airport is. It's not even under cover and the new car park is almost 10 mins drive from the terminal.

    I booked last night and the short term parking has 75% off. I managed to get 10 days in the short term parking (100m walk to checkin) for about $150 for 10 Days. Given the walk up daily rate is about $100 a day I reckon that is a pretty good deal. I've been caught waiting for ages for the bus to the terminal in that outdoor carpark before, the extra $$ is worth it for me given I am coming from Berwick and a 1 way cabfare is over $160.

    I had a look at this a few nights ago as I'm going away for a week over the Good Friday long weekend. From the 18th to the 24th to be precise. Could not get a discount. It's for 7 days not 10 but surely that shouldn't matter. Maybe it excludes public holidays or am I just doing something wrong?

        Ah I thought it meant when I made the booking, as in, I make the booking between 28 Jan and 11 March for a date of my choice.

      I saw this ads a long time ago and I booked a bay at Long Term Car Park Melbourne Airport from 17/04 - 29/04 for $ 79.00 + processing fee $ 1.58. I booked it in early Nov 2013 because I knew it's not gonna last long. I think I could've had a further $ 5 off if I was an RACV member. I chose this one over the others mainly because they have bus service running between car park and terminals until 2-3 am.

    Be careful!
    Last time my car had some weird residue stuff all over it.
    Was a bitch to get off the paint.
    Wont be using Melb Airport Long Term Carpark again.
