  • Well.. for $125, unlocked & ready to go.. this is definitely a bargain. Perhaps one of the cheapest unlocked 3G phones?

With basic office functionality, GPS.. it's not bad at all. Probably only a few in stock so grab one if you're interested. It's likely though that the GPS doesn't come with maps and it might be difficult finding updated mapping packages for the Symbian OS (I truly don't know). Wouldn't expect blazing performance from it either, but at $125..

  • it's an ancient phone (5 years old?) and was crap back then too… sorry, but this gets a neg… it's an expensive brick

  • I had the A920 (exact same, bigger but) years back, decent enough phone but there was very little apps left back then, UIQ3 has been dead for a while now…and this is UIQ2 based.

  • "The Motorola A1000 is expected to be available in Q4 2004."
"Please Note: This Phone is brand new, Unlocked but the box has been opened."
I suppose it might be okay if those two facts can be overlooked…

  • Thanks for the feedback applebyte - we secured the stock from a mobile phone shop that went belly-up, so we have a dozen different handsets available:

Not quite as cheap as the A1000, but there's still some good savings on current model handsets. All are unlocked and ready to go!
