  • Will they work with pc and XBone as well?

    • Not too sure about the Xbone, but they seem to use USB connection so it should work with PC… Please correct me if i'm wrong

  • Ugh, I just bought new headphones a week ago. I want that Turtle Beach Seven so bad :<

  • I have ATH-AD700 but like the look of these, not sure if its really an upgrade though >.<

The build looks much nicer and could be good to have mic. Can anyone comment on the sound qaulity?

    Talking about the Sevens.

    • From what i've seen of it so far, the XP510 and the PX51 seems to be closed headphones which should provide better sound isolation then the ATH AD700… but it loses some of the soundstage effect due to it being closed.

Also, if you are using it for gaming, the TB headsets offer built in Dolby surround which gives virtual 5.1 sound so if you don't have a sound card in your PC/console, you can get these for the 5.1 surround.

Kinda conflicted myself since i want to get the Roccat Kave XTD Digital but don't know when they will be available in aus and for how much…

This seems to be a really good deal since it's at least $100 off the TB RRP. (TB site has these for $350ish)

      • What could be a winner for me is that you can pretty much use the control unit as a DAC for speakers!

I am moving to a Mini ITX build so won't have a sound card, will need a DAC. If this can do that its madness!

          Ordered one :)

  • After having endless driver issues with my wireless g930 Logitech on Windows 7 and it finally succumbing to the broken USB charging .. I'm looking for a new headset for PC gaming .. can anyone recommend these sevens, would have preferred a wireless headset .. but now I think that causes more issues then its worth (and money too looking at you Astro A50's).

Edit: reading Amazon reviews it seems this is cabled only to connect to any device listed (no bluetooth), also it seems there are / were issues with the left ear piece failing - but being promptly replaced by TB .. wonder what happens with CoTD stuff.

    • I think they have fixed that design flaw in the newer versions… The problem is we don't know which version CoTD is selling?

They could have found bulk of the 'older' ones and are trying to palm them off?

I mean in the end you just send them in you will get the newer model under warrenty.

      • Well after ho'n and humming on these I decided against it simply not trusting COD for the item / customer support, and potential issues with these phones - I messed around enought with the last ones.

It also helped me reinforce that I wanted a good wireless set and figuring I use them almost daily should cough up for it… looking around I found Mighty Ape selling the Astro A50s at a relatively good price right now ( considering it's AUD and what other sellers sell it for here).

Not worth a post on its own but I thought worth mentioning here $299 (+ postage $5.50 )
        http://www.mightyape.com.au/product/Astro-A50-Wireless-Gamin…
Amazon US has them for $299 USD right now (plus postage) - I can see they are cheaper on and off - but I need some headphones now.

Been looking at these the last 2-3 months trying to justify the costs…… YAY cheaper = ordered

Now I just have to wait for COD

  • Why is this expired, the deal is still valid

    • CotD must have extended it, the original deal was til yesterday i think.

      • Yeah, their count down was reset. Must not have sold enough of them! Great price though.

  • Anyone receive theirs yet ?? Ordered 3rd Feb.
