Looks like Tiger airways have removed their $5 compulsory convenience fees with their "Tiger Raw" fares. Maybe in response to the recent ACCC all-included fares for flights.

Must be purchased using a Visa debit card or MasterCard debit card issued by an Australian financial institution.

This means you can fly $39 each way from Sydney to Melbourne, for example, and only have to pay $78 return not $88!

I wonder if Jetstar will follow?

    What's my chances of getting a refund of the $5 if ticket purchased already? We purchased a few of them.. lol
