Pioneer XWSMA1 Wireless Speaker for $143 with Free Shipping from VideoPro

60

Was in the market for a set of wifi speakers to use with Pandora and DLNA that were wife friendly. Had been eyeing these off for a while…was about to jump in and purchase from my local HN for $160 ish but a quick Googley search found the same set for $143 from Videopro (both Ebay shop and their own website). Firmware update integrates Pandora and looks like is able to use Spotify as well. Only negative is no bluetooth. Seem to have plenty of stock…does not mention that it is a special so assume until sold out?. Listed at just under $300 at JB…beats previous HN deal by $1 and going by previous threads here that is enough to buy a dodgy McFlurry from Maccas :)

Hope this is of use to someone.

Cheers

  • I have the A4 and love it.

I am curious as to why no Bluetooth is a negative though. WiFi direct?…

    • much easier to stream to Bluetooth from some devices that don't support DLNA.

little easier to use in some cases as it just acts as the speaker.

Unfortunately it's easier to get speakers friendly wife rather than wife friendly speakers…

  • The description for the A3 (higher model?) on the same website states it "is the only Pioneer model with built in battery for portable use". So I presume this one requires mains power. No details in description.
That's a big negative from my perspective

    • You can use the A3 either with the AC Power Supply or with the rechargeable battery. I have both the A4 and the A3. I bought the A3 four months ago for $124.50 from DS. The A1 was also on sale for $129 then. Videopro's price for the A1 is the best atm.

Yep the A1 and A4 require power, and A3 is the only one that runs on batteries.
These aren't little weak speakers though. I've played with them instore and they sound great. I'm surprised the A3 can run on batteries at all it's so powerful.

Shame this wasn't the A3 at this price, i'd buy a couple of them

Hi All OzBargainers - WOW we wanted to clear the A1 and I guess we had it at the right price for it. All stock is now completely sold out of this model and it has been removed from our website. I'm chatting with our buyer now to see if we can switch those who were interested to another model and will let you know :)
