might be the 16gb version though??

  • how are these so much better than the quad core tegra 3 chips that have been going around for under 200….
( I got one of these ages ago, and it rocks https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127261 )

I appreciate they are an a15 performance chip, but still they are over double the price… I just don't get it…

      Resolution/Display.

The one you linked only has 1280 x 800 while the nexus 10 has a resolution of 2560 x 1600. The pixel density is much higher.

    • Double the pixels, double the ram, double the storage

      • and double the price :)

        • Double the e double the z double the flayvaaa

its one of the better prices we have had recently and its rated very well as a product in its category. I myself have the 2012 nexus 7 but actually wish I waited till this price drop came out. its part of a larger Valentine promotion but I think this is the best price we are offering our of all the offers http://www.expansys.com.au/valentines/ thanks, Expansys

Wow, almost a year and a half old and still at this price. I mean, it's a good tablet, but considering the lack of SD and the fact that it's Google, it should be cheaper than this (even at launch and even considering the extra GB here).

Inclined to say that they dropped the ball on the 10 inch range and that they know it - still no follow up to this tablet.

If you're looking for an Android tablet I think a stronger choice is the Sony Xperia Tablet Z; cheaper now and with an SD card.

    • The screen on the Sony Xperia Tablet doesn't have as many pixels (1920x1200) but it is a great tablet. The Good Guys had it last week for $399. Harvey Norman will price match.

I'd be waiting for the new Samsung Pro tablets instead.

    • Agreed. These weren't even that great on release in 2012 bar the resolution. Why would anyone want them now?

      • I have one. Its awesome. can do everything I throw at it, but lets face it majority of the time your just surfing the web, reading emails, playing HD videos - which pretty much everything can do without issue these days? but the screen is glorious.

Only complaints I have is that those pixels chew up power pretty quick, and the official covers took a year to come out and still suck… also no official pogo plug charger/charging stand.

  • Too much for a tablet a generation behind now.

Look at the prices people still pay for the OG iPad mini. Both should be under $200 by now IMO.

  • According to the OP, more pixel = more vivid?

  • Reasonable price (for outdated hardware) but being drop-shipped from overseas (hence no local manufacturer's warranty) kills it for me.

  • I have one. Best screen of any tablet. Battery life, not so great. I'm still very happy with mine.
