  • Interesting device. not sure what the price has been in aus but looks more like a budget thing - http://www.engadget.com/2013/11/06/samsung-ativ-book-9-lite-…

apparently performance isn't all that great, and batt life doesn't seem very stellar either (~5 hours). ok i guess i guess as you're getting a touchscreen, good color contrast and an SSD though. wonder if side sync only works on samsung PCs.

1366 laptop screens needs to die

They aren't too bad on 13" or under.

      • They aren't too bad on 11" or under..
1600*900 is the sweet spot for 13.3 screens for me.

  • This unit is very thin. Lose the touch screen and they have the same specced unit for $595.00

Bought 3 already for friends and family. Closest product was over $1099 with an SSD.

i have this unit. its pretty good!!

it has an unbranded amd 4 core cpu, honestly for its lack of graphics card, the processor will be enough for anything that doesnt use a graphics card. we're at that stage in technology where the most basic specs will accomodate for more then half of the population and this laptop does that.

i'd just advise, get a portable hard and lose the touch screen, 100 off screen, 100 to portable hard drive!

touch screens are shit in this case because when you touch the hinge will give a little bit and if you go firmer you end up moving the screen, which is rather unpleasant and with a keyboard and its lovely touch pad, i doubt youd want to use touch anyway

  • There is a i5 version too, but without the touch screen for the same price:

    • ThAns for the link.
      Different machine though
      14vs 15
      Ssd vs not
      Heavier…

Still trying to work out which one to get..

      • if you're not doing anything like video get the touch screen.

        • got the asus t100 instead
          very happy so far
