50% off Android app 'Lux Auto Brightness' (Was $4.00, Now $1.98)

160

Android's inbuilt auto brightness letting you down?

Lux intelligently adjusts the brightness of your display based on the environment you're in. If you step into a dimly lit room, Lux will automatically lower the brightness of your display to make it not only comfortable to read, but to also preserve battery power. What's more, you can dynamically teach it how to adjust!

50% off sale is until midnight Thursday. I'll be happy to answer any questions!

I've been using Lux for a while now and recommend it to anyone. I didn't realize I was using the free one so I just bought it! Thanks!

      Thank you for the support!

  • This is a good app. Thanks, just bought it.

Is there a way to get my settings and links transferred from the free version?

Edit: I just found out how to backup and restore links but not settings. Good enough.

  • Great app for those with sensitive eyes or people who suffer from eye fatigue from extended reading in poorly lit rooms. I personally set my Nexus 10 to -60% brightness and have auto nightmode on and turn astronomer mode on when I read at night, I can't read off any other screen now at night :)

10/10 would buy again (even at full price)

  • This is a great app, I've been using it for a few months & just upgraded from the free version. Thanks OP.

I also want to know if there's a way to transfer settings/profile from the free version.

I just found out how to transfer links. Go into Lux lite and view your links. Click "backup". Then in that same screen in the full version click "restore". It worked.

      • Thanks jazoom

  • A great app for any Android users!!!

  • Good app but the free SCREEN DIMMER is better for me. It's limited by the lux sensor that is having great difficulty in differentiate the degrees of darkness. The camera sensor is better but eating up battery quick.

Great app I've been using for a few months. The sort of thing you'd miss once you don't have it. $2 = bargain

Many thanks for drawing my attention to this elegant app.

    Downloaded and intalled :)

Works as expected and great value for $2 - I was particularly impressed by the walkthrough and the installation wizard which are both so frequently omitted from complex apps.

Bought this full price a few months ago.

It worked well for a while, but lately it has started keeping my nexus 5 awake for hours. Also the sensor screws up a lot, changing to full brightness in a dark room. Tried every setting, uninstalled/reinstalled, factory reset, etc…

Using "yet another auto brightness" (YAAB) app now with no complaints.

    Still a mighty good deal!

    • My main test device is a Nexus 5 and I haven't been able to reproduce this issue. If you ever install it again, use the 'Send Feedback' button in preferences and I'll take a look.
