  FYI: this is stereo, not 2.1 which implies an LFE channel.

  The .1 in 5.1 is not the same as the subwoofer. (or in in the case a midrange-woofer) .

        I'm drunk now and I believe the .1 means there is a sub woofer. I have the 5.1 version of edifier I paid 29 for it and it is pretty bad set of speakers. Sounds too muffled not enough fidelity. You cant expect much for under $29. You need to spend at least $35 for half descent speakers but I don't have money to throw around like that. I just pretend that I am partially deaf and put some Bose stickers on the speakers. To be fair it is much better than my notebook speakers and highly recommended for those that cant afford $35 speakers and have vivid imagination.
