Is this different to the products listed on website ?

What's the expiry on these sims ?

    • I am confused by the link given above…

For rates, recharge and plans please visit Lycamobile United States, http://www.lycamobile.us/

      How would topping up with $10,$20, $30, $40 & $50 work when the link only seems to mention $16, $29, $39, $49 & $59 plans ?!?

      • American's use different terms. Their prepaid is like our month to month

        • Still doesn't explain how a $10 or $20 recharge can be used for a $16 plan ;-)

        • I assume the $10 recharge would be good for the Pay As You Go "plan", while the $20 would allow you to choose a $16 plan and have $4 left?

You can get a free Lyca one with the deal I posted a few weeks back
    NO deal

I think this is an American sim. For when you travel on holidays to the states

    • As kogi said, this is a US sim for travelling to the US, not an Australian SIM like you posted a few weeks back.

"handling and Paypal fee" = 90c on something which is 'free' and costs 60c to send. Fail.

On the website it says free delivery but I got charged $1.50. What's going on rep?
I don't mind paying for delivery, but free means free. Please clarify.

  • Free delivery is with full price, which is $14.99.

With the above promo the delivery charge is $1.49

the website linked is misleading as there is a big badge saying free delivery. whilst i am not saying delivery should be free, you would be better off making the promo a discount rather than free, so that delivery is still free. if you know what i mean.

  • Terms : Call rates— Call rates may be different to the advertised rates. My holiday SIM does not have any responsibility.

    That sounds fair…

  • bought one for $1.49, how about activation ?

  • for activation please follow instructions on your SIM or visit http://www.lycamobile.us/

  • $1.49 is a good deal for a US sim, just bought 4 for me n my mates for our upcoming US trip.

  • Still nothing to say what is included in the "prepaid dual sim card".

  • It is brand new empty SIM card and there is no credit on it. This is for AUS travelers, traveling to US. The website mentioned above has got all info. Most of the SIMs have already been sold.

    • Hi Rep,

I bought one of these but there doesn't seem to be any expiry date specified on the packaging or sim. Is there a particular time frame in which these have to be activated?

    • Title states: FREE Lycamobile United States Prepaid Dual SIM Card

So, "prepaid" should not be included if there is an empty sim card.

      • "Prepaid" is the type of the SIM, does not mean that it should have any value. Prepaid means you need to pay first before you use.

This is not free if you purchase in US. Only we are offering free through ozbargain.

  • Hi Rep,

Bought one too for my upcoming trip to the US. Two questions:

    (1) the instructions that came with the packaging say the phone number is on the packaging, but I can't find it anywhere?
    (2) is the SIM already activated and is there a deadline for activation? I read somewhere on the web site that once activated, the account will be closed if the SIM is not used for over 90 days. As my trip to the US is in June, I would like to activate it only then.

    Thanks.

The SIM is brand new and has not been activated, you will get the number when you activate the SIM.

Activation instructions can be found here. https://account.lycamobile.us/DNA.aspx?lang=EN

I can not see any expiry date on the SIM.

      • Thanks Rep. Looks like I can activate and recharge over the web just before I get on the plane then.
