340mb, so my phone will tell me "larger than 100mb wait for wifi" on a 20gb plan, and no wifi, this really sucks. Anyone know a way around the 'appleism'

Put your SIM card in that, create a WiFi hotspot, download on your iPhone via "wifi"
I own the phone and the mobile data plan, surely I should be able to choose how I use it? Shouldn't have to stuff around like that! Happy to be prompted (as in android) but should be able to make the choice myself….

So your "needs" are not the norm… Hell working for a mobile carrier surely means you should be able to get a deal on an android phone - problem solved, so you wouldn't need to troll about on iphone specific threads with comments that make no sense for the majority.
As s very new person here, and someone with experience with the internet, as your 20gb a month ensures you will be, you might like to know that as a newbie to this site, we like to keep threads on topic, and relevant to the deal.
