  • All these so called cheap headphones COTD sell makes me wonder….

Especially when sellers on Amazon dont even go that low in price.

    • $150 on Amazon. I guess that's why they call it catch of the day :)

  • Was $80 delivered about 1 year ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/70132

Some good comments there too, particularly addepp's:

pretty normal to wear but very comfortable
    separate extension cable
sound quality is a little better than the generic iphone ear phones, however can hear the bass better.
problem is that raising the volume a little caused my colleague to turn around, so dunno whats gonna happen on the train.. sigh… so now i know what's open type headphones.
    Not entirely happy . :-(

That's the point of "Open air"

..a little better than the generic iphone ear phones

That doesn't sound very promising, unless Apple is including some rather good buds.

      • definitely not, this yamaha sounds amazingly good, its a joke when some1 take apple $hit bud or Bitch headphones into any serious comparison with other headphone brands. Fashion brands and Audio brands have difference customers lol.

  • any reviews? i cant seem to find any..

  • Just got a pair thanks for posting (was after cheap/good pair of headphones).

I don't get why dispatch is 5-7 days when the item is in stock in Melbourne? I got this long email after I bought them from COTD explaining how the order is forwarded straight to the warehouse to their efficient staffs but it still takes them a week do dispatch the goods? Anyone knows?

    K.

    • I got the same with some globes I purchased. The next day, I received the 'dispatched' email. It's them covering their ass, I'd say.

      • Thanks, got the email today saying dispatched. I hope these are good for the price (which seems to be from the amazon reveiews)

  • Not bad, very sensitive 'phones so good if you have limited power at your disposal. I found the sound a bit muffled and dark at first, then a bit hollow on a different song. This is running through an Asus Xonar DS + Little Dot Mk III amp. My usual 'phones are the AKG K501 for reference, which thoroughly thrash the Yamaha in every area except bass impact. On a more even scale, overall I'd say my Koss KSC-75 are a better, more natural sounding headphone and at less than $30 shipped online, cheaper to boot. I wouldn't buy these again … go for the Koss, they're crunchier for hard rock and metal and more natural and tighter-sounding for everything else. I guess the Yamaha do have more bass, but it doesn't really add anything.
