  • how much is delivery to Mel?

    • Bing Lee don't deliver to Melbourne, sorry. I know this is posted further down but worth taking note of.

I work at Bing Lee so I'll also add a few points -

      • TV is fantastic, very slim, great price.
      • Still has 3 year warranty, all new models (i.e. "B" series) have 1 year warranty
      • Little stock left. There are ~200 on order [to central warehouse], unlikely to get fulfilled. May happen, may not. If you're after one of these, you're probably going to be buying a display model.
      • Nothing wrong with a display model at this price especially if you're getting 3 year warranty (from date of purchase not when put on display)
      • FREE 2 "A-reserve" tickets to see Chicago @ Lyric Theatre in Star City (More info - http://www.binglee.com.au/Page/Promotions/Chicago+Offer.aspx…)

** HURRY, VERY LIMITED STOCK! **

wow thats cheap. Is it possible for you to post up the receipt so i can go to my local bing lee and try to get it down to that price?

  • +1

They dont do melbourne - Mainly sydney and some stores outside of sydney.

as I udnerstand it, You should be able to just go into any B.L store and tell them that Guildford store is selling it for this much, and they'll match it (assuming its genuine). Mind you, if BL are selling it for this much, chances are you could probably goto Harvey Norman or Good guys and tell them to match/beat it also.

this my first post, this is my first post, you want an award?
ffs, its not the first steps on the moon…
I hope ppl arent voting because you say such a pathetic and unoriginal statement

    • +6

Do you want an award for trying to flame new members to the ozbargain community?

"ffs" It's not like it's a big deal if people mention it's their first post.

      Agreed

  • "I order one myself today from the sales person called Simon."

I hope you're not Simon here to pimp some sales. Can I walk in and see anyone to get this price or do I have to see you/Simon?

Pretty quick for a first post. I feel very suspicious that you're a salesperson there and want to get some quick commish.

    • I don't care even if it was simon posting, as long as its a bargain. Aren't deals like this the purpose of this site.

      • You're wrong on that because you have to declare an interest if you're a rep or affiliated, the fact that the member noted for us to speak to a certain "Simon" combined with the fact that the member only just recently registered (under a day old) gives me a sneaking suspicion that he's somehow affiliated. Also I can get this price at Dick Smith if I spoke to a certain someone as well or shopped around.

    • who cares as long as its a bargain as the previous user said… You gain, you don't lose anything…

Bargain or not, affiliations must be noted up front. The fact that we have to speak to a certain "Simon" was strange and that the member was barely a day old just to post the bargain.

Furthermore I can get this bargain elsewhere. I can't help but feel this bargain is either spam or someone trying to pimp their sales.

EDIT: I mean no disrespect to you, just replying to the post.

        • I never said "have to speak to a certain “Simon”". Just let you guys know who served me, i thought this might make easy for ppl interest this deal. I been calling a few different places before someone do me this deal.

          • @rogerzou: No need for the neg, but you gave the impression that we should speak to Simon for the deal. It just seemed fairly shady (speak to me and I'll hook you up). Given it's a major retailer (franchise or non franchise) it's really irrelevant to mention the persons name anyway since we should be able to get the same deal you got by going to the exact same store (unless it's person specific).

We have a right to be sceptical because it seems you just joined to post this deal which I feel is a bit sus and not that great of a deal. To be fair, when shopping around I could get this price at any major retailer.

  • The deal is good, but I'm a bit skeptical about the TV. The screen quality may be excellent but I'm worried there's going to be mechanical problems with it down the track cos I've had two friends who've had issues with their Samsung TV in the last 12 months. One of them had smoke coming out of it so it is a bit worrying.

Nothing is 100%. I have two Sammmies and they run very well. 3 year standard warranty helps

    • Simple explanation for why you might have heard of people with issues -

All TVs have 1-2% failure rate. Regardless of brand, it happens. I'm referring to top-tier brands like Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, LG, Sharp.

Samsung are the best brand in Australia. Therefore, the more people with Samsung TV's, the more failures will occur. They are quite cheap compared to other brands so this leads to more sales. More sales equals higher number of TVs being faulty.

There are no outstanding mechanical faults with the TVs.

You should probably shop around with Bing Lee.. they all have different pricing from my knowledge and experience. I went to buy an aircon recently - went into the Guildford store (RRP was 599 btw), I actually knew a lady there as well, and she said - best she could give me was $480. I obviously wanted a bit more, called up the Bankstown BL Store, they got it down to $450, called the Merrylands Store, they also said $450. Finally - I settled with the Fairfield store which gave me $420. In saying that, you probably can price match with other BL's around the area, just a phone call away too! ;)

    • I can't help but agree mate. And with regards to the deal, the price is decent but I'm fairly certain I could get this deal beaten at other stores and retailers, even without his receipt.

I have upload the receipt and i am not related to this supplier

    • Thanks, I matched it today… there is a line of 29 on order infront of me, so I don't know if it'll happen!

  • good price, but remember, we should be seeing a lot of good prices on the older 8 series now that the new ultra-slim sammys are out with LED backlighting (check out the new review up on CNET). Shoudl be able to pick up one of those for about a grand more than this price pretty soon.
