    •Turn Wi-Fi on or off

I used one of these NTAG203 white stickers with my Lumia 820.
To say that you can turn wi-fi on or off is a bit far fetched.
I was disappointed to find out that all it does it bring up the wi-fi menu from Home Screen.
You still have to touch the screen to toggle the switch.

Its only half the work done !

That sounds like a device- or OS-specific restriction. My Galaxy S3 (stock ROM) can perform all the tasks in the OP's list via an NFC command.

There are many more sophisticated tasks (or combinations of tasks) that NFC isn't able to perform, and that's where Tasker steps in.

      • This. Windows phone is much more restrictive on what apps/NFC can do. That said there are rumours WP8.1 will address some of these shortcomings.

I'm glad I have moved on from Windows Phone !

    • Works with my android phone with SlimRom/kat installed.
I have one at home, in the car to changes modes automatically.

    • WP8.1 is expected to have more NFC features, I currently have all my Lumia 820 tags to open Flappy Bird

  • I literally just ordered this y'day for $3.30…

  • Do you ever have Topaz tags?

Can't say I do. Interested in them? Are they quite popular? Can always get some in :)

      • I'm interested in trying them out but I've got no idea how popular they are.
