    • Why is their eBay rating so bad?

      • +2

It is because their delivery time sux
I ordered some mid Feb 17/2 and they didnt deliver until last Friday, 28/2

The Head office is in Chullora and I am about 20 minutes down the road, so it could be same day delivery quite easily.

Problem was they ran out of stock (ozbargained??). Wasn't until i contacted them asking about the delivery, was when they said, "Oh yeah no stock. We'll have it in the next few days??"

anyway at least I got it

        • +2

Which is in complete contrast to my experience as DSE delivery was quite quick.
I ordered the recent Eneloop 4 pack + charger and also 2 * AAA packs. Even though it was in the same order I received two separate boxes on the same day each the size of basketball.

        • Maybe it was my glitter enloops that were OB'd
Always worth another chance especially when you are getting them free delivery and at half the normal price

      • +1

dunno, i had a very good experience with them - delivered very quickly (1 or 2 days after i ordered)

  • +1

already got so many Eneloop batteries, just support.

  • +2

I'm so tempted… the colours are so cool.

  • Awesome! Just bought 2 sets.

  • Thanks ! I've been looking for some cheap eneloops

  • Are these the new colours?

  • On a side note - some eneloops i bought late 2013 have leaked in one of my kids toys. bought from dse. should i take them back there for replacement? sanyo have no number representation in australia now.

    • +1

Generally within a year ("official warranty") you can go back to the store.

  • +10

I don't need more, as I've got a draw full if then, but at this price?
How do I sign up for OA (Ozbargain Anonymous)? I need help!

    • +1

I'll join OA with you - I feel your pain.

    • Damn you OB! C-C-Couldn't Resist. OA here I come.

    • +1

I am sure some of the Reps will sign up too, just to push more deals to OA members.

  • +2

All these Eneloop Deals, they're giving me quite a "shock".

    Ba-dum-chu!

    • +8

sighs your bad pun is particularly draining…

      • -5

        I put a ba-dum-chu for a reason…

        No need to hate.

        • +1

I'm trying to resist putting in one bad battery pun, lest I receive negative feedback. So I put in two.

          OK - here's my finest.

I lent two of my friends money, but only one paid me back. So cathode me twenty bucks still!

        • You need to make anode (an ode) to stop telling crappy battery jokes :) .

        • +1

It seems you lack the capacity to tell that he too wrote a pun.

    • -3

Everyone's such a hater. Mad negs.

  • Bought (another) one. Thanks, OP

  • I'm yet to buy any. Will need a decent charger first. I'd mainly used them for a speed light on my DSLR. I buy the Energizer Ultimate Lithium, are these better in terms of maH?

    • +1

I use the oz bargain priced yongnuo flash with my dslr and eneloops go well, cycle times are good and I think it's only 4c each time you recharge one battery. Obviously they wont last as long as lithium energizers but carry a spare set or two eneloops and you be right.

  • damn they usually sell these for 50 bucks?
i thought i missed out on the last eneloop deals but i guess this works out for me.

  • +1

Can someone pls tell me why these are so popular.

    • +2

      Good morning.

      • +4

Good morning to you too mate.
Any idea why these Are so popular?

        • +3

          Have a wonderful day.

        • Good batteries if used with a proper charger.

    • +2

Normal AA and AAA rechargeable batteries are pretty poor - they self-discharge over time and get worse the more you use them (older ones last less and less). Unlike your phone, which has a nice Lithium Ion battery in it that. Li-ion sucks at AA and AAA.

Eneloops are top-quality LSD (low self-discharge) batteries that last well, even with cheap chargers and infrequent use.

If you don't like (or can't afford) wasting time charging and changing batteries 2 or 3 times as often as you need to, eneloops are a good investment.

  • +3

half of the people i know are eneloop batteries collectors

  • Don't forget to buy this on your smartphone via eBay app and you will get $5 OFF before March 5.

    • +3

      HOW?

      • +4

and hello to our Native American friends too :)

    • +4

Sorry for being late to the party, cminez. But can you please point me to this $5 off via eBay app offer? I did try searching on ozbargain but couldn't find it.

      • +1

Please, someone help with the above question. Would also like to know.

    • +5

      US accounts only… ignore.

      • +1

      This listing has ended.

  • +1

    Deal over?

  • +1

Bugger they just ran out :(
There were 2 left and I thought about if I really did need them for 20 seconds…. gone
OZ barg lesson learned.. hesitation kills….. Even if you dont need them (as i dont) an oz bargainer will suffer more with regret than buying something hey didnt need for a great price (especially if its torches or batteries)
    :)

    • +2

Hopefully they will create a new listing as they are still available on their website. Please note if you order from their website there will be a postage charge.

  • Strange that they sold 150 lots which arguably all came straight from this post and yet only 64 +ve votes. Some people are obviously not very grateful that others are doing the work for them.

    • +6

Some bought more than a lot?

    • +1

The thanks-to-no-thanks ratio has traditionally been low, so this is nothing unusual. Only a few take the time to log in and vote.

    • +3

      …welcome to ozbargain

    • +1

You don't know that all purchasers got there from this post.

And maybe some just don't have accounts and can't vote.

  • Thanks unity1, Darn Ozbargain "sending me broke :)"

  • I missed out but I have no doubt they'll offer it again. God knows what I will do with more eneloops but the colours are pretty.

    • Thanks willbaba. They have 2 new separate listings now.

    • And now charging $4.95 delivery too :(

  • are these any good in digital cameras?

    • It has the digital camera picture on the packaging so I believe so.

    • +1

You have a digital camera that uses AAs?

  • It looks like ebay Guest Checkout is not allowed on these batteries. Dick is limiting their market.

    • -2

      Does Dick sell condoms?

  • I just bought some on the Ebay site.Worked for me.

  • +3

battery collecting….hmm, this could be my new hobby! :p

  • Thanks for posting OP, bought 2 packs.

    • Thanks OP, I bought 2 packs too. After I receive these, I will have total of 80 Eneloop AA batteries :D

  • Great deal thanks for posting! Anyone know where I can get a decent and cheap charger for these?

      • Cheers for that..I really need to learn to read the descriptive text better

        • No, it wasn't there before. I thought it would be a good idea to add it after you had posed your question.

  • +1

    New Flavours!!!

    • How many licks does it take to get to the centre of an LSD battery?

      • Depending on the type of the tongue eg. A giraffe like tongue will do the job in a single lick.

  • I have over a 100 of eneelops. I better stop buying more and wait for the next generation batteries to come out.

  • Mine arrived this morning!

  • Delivered within 24 hours of ordering, and we live in the country. Cheers

  • Looks like Dick Smith is rising up to the occasion. Placed my order less than two hours ago and already got "your order is picked and will be dispatched today" email. I'm impressed!

  • yeah pretty good as ordered yesterday and received today.

  • THX

    • SDDS

  • Postage has been added $19.95 + $4.95

  • Quick postage, ordered 2 x 8 packet yesterday….Arrived today. NSW Country

  • Same here - delivered under 24hours

  • Delivered, safe and sound…. ACT.

  • Ordered Tue evening, arrived Thu morning. Can't argue with that!

  • Hi all. I ordered these and they sent them to someone else (wrong address maybe who knows).

Anyway now DSE online are ignoring me.

I had to lodge a Paypal claim.

I won't buy from them again. This is poor business form and damaging to their brand. They should take this very seriously, brand reputation is paramount and it seems DSE online's is not very good. CEO should b kicking some heads over their performance and customer service.

    • Why can't you just call them they have a 1300 number for you to call.

That is how I got my Tropical 16 x + charger back.
