Powerade 600ml 2 for $4 (Excludes Sipper Cap) @ Woolworths

40

About to buy a 3 pack for $7.29 when, hang on, two shelves up there's 2 for $4.
Or in my case, 4 for $8.

The signs are in front of blue and red but imagine it covers orange as well.

Powerade is still around? Unbelievable that Coca-Cola hasn't given up the fight in the sports drink battle. Their market share must be in single digits compared to Gatorade.

      Powerade is better then Gatorade.

      • 70% of people disagree with you. Gatorade has 70% of the sports drink market compared with 28% for Powerade and 2% for the rest.

Gatorade 600ml is $2@ in Coles this week (in catalogue)

  • I can't believe people still buy this. Why?

    • I think it's the belief (whether true or not) that these drinks hydrate the body faster (if not better) after sweating a lot from sports and other activities.

  • You should be an elite athlete to require any sports drink. Otherwise you might as well just chug coke.

    • It's a great alternative to cordial or carbonated drinks. You're saying that caffeinated Coke is a better option than a sports drink? Plus Coke has nearly double the sugar per serving.

      • I'm saying any drink with added sugar is a poor choice.

        • Right, so chocolates, chips, snacks of any kind, junk food, fast food… all should be banned from Ozbargain because they're poor choices of food. Let's all go eat nothing but salad and drink water.

    • These drinks are great for rehydrating after food poisoning or something that makes you explode out of both ends.

Just sayin' (haven't had the pleasure of using them for those purposes though… yet)
