I should start looking at collecting these things, I dont know how many cokes i would need to get for 4000 points but over a length of time it should be easy enough..

how do people collect these things? hang around after a sport/concert event, be naughty and rip labels off shelves, or drink alot of coke…

    • +1

      4000/10 = *400 cokes, /10 limit codes per week = 40 weeks

      • +1

Limit 3 made me lol .. 120 weeks of collecting or about 2 years and 3 months (if you get your 10 in every week)

      • Hmmmm.. So I guess if it takes you 3 mins to get each coke (collect it, rip off bottle, input code from tiny letters), 400 cokes x 3mins = 1200mins (20hours) and equivalate that to a JB HIFI $200 voucher, $200/20 hours=$10/hr is the result..
        Hmmmm.. might rethink this decision..

        • +2

you don't need to rip the label just look through the empty bottle and spend 10-15 seconds to input the code, that's 12-18 times faster=$120-180/hr ;)

        • How long do you spend on this website?

        • +1

you don't need to rip the label

In theory, according to the T&Cs we should be keeping the labels.

        • +1

you are right roughana, but so far I have only kept the ones linked to a promotion/ competition/ prize draw. i have redeemed 6000-7000 points, got rewards and have never been asked to show the labels. Even in case of misprinted illeggible code when i called them they were happy to give me a new code over the phone and they said "no" when I offered to send a scanned image of the bad label.

    • I would say a lot of people work at cafes/food courts or schools or know friends/family who do

      • +1

or walk past apartment complexes with sorted recycling bins.

    • be naughty

Why do you think it is naughty?

      • be naughty and rip labels off shelves

Oh, I re-read that and now I see… That would be naughty.

  • I'm finally up to 200 points…. is taken me months. I forget to grab the label at times. Means I'm buying coffee as opposed to Lift….

    • +5

      You're doing it wrong.

  • +5

So when they have a 10K point prize?
Cause some of us are up past 10K ;)

    • +2

just plus voted ya i hate jealous people who neg vote for wrong reasons.

How many dollars of coke do you need to purchase to gain approximately 4000 points?

    • +5

      $0

      • -5

Very funny. Sure if you're stealing all the coke codes from other peoples bottles but normally each coke bottle is a few dollars each.

        • +2

wow. it's not stealing if friends and family give you tokens. stop embarrassing yourself

        • I see how do you normally collect your coke codes

    • For some people I know, they gain more than 100 coke labels everyday for some reason.

  • -6

Just how many cokes did you have to buy to get 4000 tokens. 10 points per bottle at say $2 per bottle at 400 bottles that's $800 to get that $200 worth of gift card. You could buy 4 x $200 gift cards with that $800 and with a lot less tooth decay and sugar diabetes.

    • +3

      None.

      • -5

Ok so the coke codes just magically appear out of thin air at no cost to any one.

    • +4

you like being that one muppet who makes the tooth decay/diabetes comment in every coke rewards post, don't you?

      • -5

With the amount of sugar in a coke bottle sure 400 bottles in a short time period would have to lead to some tooth decay.

        • +3

Yes, if you actually drank it. I just clean the toilet with it.

      • you like being that one muppet

This is the first CokeRewards post that hollykryten has commented on since November (I gave up looking before that), so technically there is more than one of them.

        • oh i know there's more than one of them. they can't wait to rear their preachy heads at the mere mention of coke

        • show me your teeth tdw LOL

        • socks don't have teeth :E

  • I have a JB gift card that expires in less than a months time. Its still has over $500 on it. Does anyone know if I can purchase a new giftcard from JB with an existing giftcard? Or if I purchase something for the value of the card then returning it, can I get it refunded on a new gift card? Thanks

    • +1

No you can not purchase a JB gift card using another JB gift card. The JB gift card ordering on the JB web site only allows payment via credit card. And also if you return some thing to the store you won't get a refund onto a new card. JB Hi-Fi doesn't give change of mind refunds in any case it's their official policy.

    • If you are interested in selling it PM me.

      • Thanks for the replies. Just read the terms and conditions on their website and it says that all gift cards issued after 2011 will be valid for 24 months from date of purchase. I logged in on their website and it said expiry april 2015.

  • they've added more gift cards :)

  • Can you buy mobile phone recharges at JB? (Specifically Telstra)
