[PC] WinPatrol PLUS - Lifetime License $2 (USD) / Super Lifetime Family Pack $10 (USD)

WinPatrol PLUS allows you to efficiently monitor programs running on your computer without slowing you down or hogging all your memory.

WinPatrol takes snapshot of your critical system resources and alerts you in real-time to any changes that may occur without your knowledge. You'll be notified of critical system changes and have access to over 30,000 easy to understand program descriptions.

WinPatrol runs on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, & supports all Windows 64 bit features without conflicts with other programs. The addition of WinPatrol provides a layered security approach required when even legitimate programs allow unwanted toolbars to be installed. When you download from WinPatrol.com you get a secure, certificate signed application and nothing unexpected.

WinPatrol was the first program to use a behavioral approach to detect new changes due to infiltrations and Zero-Day attacks. WinPatrol continues to add unique features and remains the smallest, fastest system monitor of its kind. Install WinPatrol anytime you rebuild or purchase a new computer. A snapshot of critical system locations and resources is recorded so if anything changes you'll know what changed and when!

running on your computer without slowing you down or hogging all your memory.

anything running on your computer will cause it to slow down to some degree…

I guess most computer-illiterates have moved on onto tablets and phones for internet consumption, so, limited market for this kind of program now.

Thanks for posting. I've run this for years and it helps not only with unrequested intrusive and secretive stuff (most of which is blocked or disposed of by AVs) but also annoying little things which come with programs you intentionally install (eg auto updates, auto startups etc). Gives you easy access to many tools to stop or restrict these things. "Scotty" has some annoying habits himself which can temporarily slow your system to a crawl but you can always disable him or just wait while he sniffs the poles and does his business. Along with Advanced System Care it's one of a few "maintenance" programs worth having on every PC and laptop imo. Only a guess but I suspect this might be Bill P giving himself (and us) one last "bonus" before retirement.
