  • Good for those who have been buying the Intel NUC's lately.

  • Damn that's cheap! JUST got a 480gb non m-sata delivered yesterday from Amazon. Now they're $50 cheaper.

    • +1

I think if you contact them, they will do something about it.

You have up to 7 days, from memory.

      • He got the normal SATA SSD. I don't think so. And from what I can tell it's only dropped about $20 dollars.

    • +1

Agreed, if it was a crucial, definitely have a chat with them. See this comment as an example.

      • +1

I just spoke to chat and was issued a refund of $15.70 for my 120GB mSATA. Winner!

    Huh? Isn't the 240 cheaper here? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/136487

They're both sold by Amazon too.

      THat's a 2.5" SSD

      This is mSATA

      • Oh my bad.

  • Good price, and if you purchase one with the 2.5" M500 deal the shipping is less then a dollar extra…

  • +1

Great price…I predict another NUC deal from shopping express in the works ;)

  • nice!

  • Good price. Beats buying Lite-on ssd's and ripping out the internal msata.

  • Damnit. Want to get one of these for my W540 but I believe it is SATA M.2 NGFF. If anybody knows, can I confirm these are not compatable in size, correct?

    • I know this might be way off the mark but I have a T430 put a 128GB crucial mSATA in it and works great.. sorry if this doesn't help.

  • finnally its back… bought the 240GB… thanks OP

  • Can I plug on the mSATA port on a GA-Z77-D3H motherboard for a desktop machine and use it as bootable disk?

  • -1

    Whats mSATA?

    • +3

The storage devices for mSATA connections are like little RAM modules and are designed primarily for ultrabooks, although my desktop mainboard has a socket for them. They designed a new connector appropriate for the small spaces found inside thin ultrabooks. Does away with the need for any cables.

  • Can this be installed in the dell inspiron 640m or the hp N40L microserver? I have the plextor ssd installed in my microserver at the moment but with only 120g so thinking of replacing with 240g and use the plextor ssd for the dell instead (still dont know if the plextor fit in the dell laptop caddy but)

  • Never knew mSATA existed before seeing this deal. So these SSDs are not suitable for use in a desktop PC?

    • Depends on your motherboard. My Gigabyte Z77x-UD3H has a msata slot for msata SSD's…

  • 480gb msata is now $US229.99 :)

    • Now it's US$219.99

I'm getting stung US$7.71 shipping even though it says free shipping, not sure why. The price is still right though.
