Reasonable deal , but hard to stomache for most people after the $79 deal on boxing day. Next gen consoles are looking to be great value for money under 500 bucks already!good investment as they should last at least 5 years.

Correction x2, $69 with 3 games and shipping!

NB. if you chose GoW: Judgement you also got a free GoW1 DL. Well at least I did on mine

        • Hmm, I did choose GOW: Judgement. Whereabouts do I go to find the GOW1 DL?

        • +1

There should be a separate card included inside your GoWJ game with the code on it.

awesome thanks! Hadn't even opened it yet. Opened it and found the download coupon. Guess I need to upgrade my hdd before I can download it. Talk about value for money, $69 for a brand new xbox 360 and 3 games :)

        • Talk about value for money

          Now we need a $99 Wii U…

        • No need to buy an expensive HDD, just plug in an 8GB USB.

That would be MGS 5: Ground Zeroes (a prologue to MGS5, but not actually MGS5). Phantom Pain is MGS5 proper.

They still have the 4gb console + an 320gb harddrive for $199.Bascially your paying $60 for 320gb.

When will microsoft stop supporting the xbox 360.what i heard sony is supporting the ps3 till the end of 2015.

Does end of support mean no more online or no longer sell brand new units, replace broken units, release new games?

    • +1

I guess that's what I means, in the end they need to focus totally on the new consoles. Nintendo is killing their online for the Wii and Ds.

    • God I hope they implement some way for users to download and install game patches via USB. So many games with updates and as soon as the network connection is gone all that goes too.

Odd that I paid $149 for the same thing 2 years ago. I would have thought the prices would have come down further, to clear off stock.

    • +3

I agree, considering there's no hard drive this is not a great price for a 7yo console.

      • +1

Agree. This is becoming the norm with recent releases. There are games such as Grand Theft Auto V (8gb), Metal Gear Solid V ground zeros (1.7gb), Battlefield IV (2gb), Need For Speed Rivals (3gb) and possibly Titanfall that require mandatory hard drive installations of content. Won't work / allow installtion to memory cards. As well as other games such as Call Of Duty Ghosts (3gb) that require large mandatory installs as well.

        • +1

and possibly Titanfall that require mandatory hard drive installations. Won't work from memory cards.

A few things - literally nothing is known about Titanfall on the 360, so to jump straight to saying it might require a mandatory install is a stretch when there's only been about 5 360 games all up that have required one.

Also you absolutely can install the mandatory install to USB drives, not just the internal HDD. Has been possible since the day USB support was added.

        • +1

Titan Fall HDD installation requirements are only rumors at the moment. Thats why I said that possibly. Also games like Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes require HDD to install content. Game will not allow you to install content to internal or USB memory.

        • Wow I hadn't seen that MGS5 thing, very interesting. All the other games with mandatory installs have allowed you to install to a USB IIRC, even GTA5 with its 8GB install, so this is probably just Konami being Konami - ie. they're being stupid.

Also EB Games is selling the 4GB 360 Console bundled with Minecraft (disc version) for $149.
For reference Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is $29.95 rrp, $27 at JB HiFi.

    EDIT: https://ebgames.com.au/xbox360-800045-Xbox-360-4GB-Console--…
    should be avail in store.

  • Only 4 GB?? I always thought these consoles came with like 320 GB drives…

    • +1

There are 360s that come with a 320GB HDD, this one doesn't.
