    I've a Nexus 5 that isn't rooted. Is this worth the buy? I wouldn't even know what to do with them!

      You don't need a rooted device to use these tags. We've got some ideas on our website including setting a tag to:

      • Automatically enable/disable Wifi
      • Automatically disable/enable tethering
      • Automatically allow somebody to connect to your Wifi without keying in your passcode
      • Automatically adjusting phone settings (volume, brightness, vibration on/off) - I've got one by my beside.
      • Automatically enable/disable bluetooth and open the GPS app (got one in my car that does this)

    Interesting idea to try and it's very tempting.. I'm just a bit concerned my Nokia Lumia 1020 will throw a tantrum at the sight of the Android robot on these stickers, and just refuse to tag them :(

    Just to comment that I have a few of these.

    I turned my keytag into a defacto business cards when whoever wants my business card, I just asked them to turn on NFC and have them scanned my keytag. The only thing with Topaz 512 it cannot be used as business cards that contains image (not enough space)

    I also place topaz tags in conj with tasker to do a instant google map reply of my position with a tap to only few people (eg: girl)

    Still need much more ideas…

      Those are standard NTAG203 Chips. The tags on sale here use a Topaz 512 NFC chip which holds 3X more memory.

      Another key difference is the construction of tags. WhizTags are constructed from solid PVC and come printed in a bunch of vibrant colours so that you can easily organise the tags. A 3M adhesive back is also included with each NFC tag. WhizTags are tested in some pretty extreme temperatures (175 degrees Celsius and in commercial freezer environments) and they've managed to stack up quite well, which is a testament to the durability of our NFC tags. This means that customers will only need to buy one set of tags to last them well into the future.

    Do these tags have enough capacity to activate multiple alarms at the same time in an alarm app? (is this even possible?)

      As an experiment, I just tried adding an alarm command to a Topaz tag using the "Trigger" app and the command required 33 bytes of memory. This specific number will depend on the app you're using, however generally speaking you should have no problem adding multiple alarms.

    Has these tags being pre-formated as NDEF format? If they haven't, it can not be reconiged by windows phone.

      These tags are not pre formatted as NDEF, however it's worthwhile to note that NDEF pre formatting is becoming less of an issue with newer-generation tags. For example, our NTAG203 NFC tags have worked off the shelf on Windows Devices without pre formatting required. These tags are also on sale.         Yeah, but please highlight this to those who plan to use it on windowsphonne, the tags on sale won't work with windows phone out of box, unless you ask your friends with Android phone to reformat it. (Currently, the windows phone can not format tag.).
