Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Expansion for PC - $39.98 + P&H @ Dick Smith

160

This is the cheapest box copy I've found - hell it's one of the cheapest prices I've found anywhere.

Also the collectors edition is $89.98 if anyone is interested.

Edit: Sorry my initial title was misleading, there is also a postage and handling charge.

Dang nab it, bought my copy online. I got lured by the fancy hats you get for pre-ordering T_T.

    • I pre-ordered collectors edition from JB (had a gift card I wanted to use) but my gf pre-ordered online too…

Even if you pick up a box set and attach it to your bnet account before the end of March, you'll get the preorder bonuses too.

  • Do I need original Diablo 3 to play this expansion?

    • +2

Yes, that's why it's called an "expansion".

Don't be a dick…a lot so called "expansions" don't require the original game these days.

If you want to dip your toes in the D3 pool, Blizz is selling it for $20 now, I think.

  • Is it worth it to get the deluxe version over the standard for the extra things?

    • Only if you want more hats and a pet skeleton dog.

I need to get back into D3 - I heard the changes made it much better. I played the hell out of D2 and D2:LoD, so I jumped on the hype train and pre-ordered D3, played it for a month and never touched it again.

They just announced servers in Sydney too.

      • +1

Yeah, my friends mentioned that they were suddenly getting 40ms ping rather than 300. I think Blizzard rolled out the servers before they actually announced anything, so it was a bit of a surprise.

I might download the original and give it some love before deciding whether or not to get the expansion…

  • You can also do a pickup install.

    $10 deposit

    • Do you need to go into the store to do it, because theres no option from their website to do a click/collect.

      • Sorry, yeah you need to do it in store.

They've got copies out the back (at least in the George St store). And you need to activate it within a week of release to get the pre-order bonus

Thanks, bought on the weekend with free delivery and 5% off wish gift card

Comes down to $38, as cheap as anywhere else!

    • Glad to help. I got Harvey Norman to price match DSE over the weekend because they are closer to my place.

SAVE11 code today for extra 11% off. Glad I waited to today.

    • Was going to mention this, I already went in and pre-ordered which if you have a store nearby comes out a tiny bit cheaper. It's almost like they did it to line up the online with the walk in price.

      • I ordered two copies one for a friend, so ended up being slightly cheaper but DSE still have not sent it out. Hope to get it by 31 March so I can get the bonus stuff.

        • I went in store to see if it was in yet…they're telling me it is late and should come in on Thursday…absolute bollocks…I don't want to have to wait that long to play.

        • Went to do a check on WA and NSW to see whether any stores have it available and all showed out of stock. Guess their stock have not arrived yet. However, checked JB Hifi WA, and all stores have stock available.

Did a check on other states. SA couple of stores in stock. QLD just one store. VIC none.

Emailed DSE, reply is it is currently on back order. That's crap for them to take preorders and not having them available. I can cancel it and just buy it from JB instead I guess.
