[PC, EA] Battlefield 6 - $107.95 @ Instant Gaming

90

I mean…it's not much of a discount but if you're planning to buy the game anyway, this is the cheapest I can find it. You might as well save a couple bucks.

PayPal payment fee applies. No fee with VISA or MasterCard card payment.

It's $109.95 on Steam & EA.

I've used Instant Gaming before and never had any issues. Had great customer service on one occasion where they refunded me the purchase.

Better to buy on Epic and get the 20% back as credit.

Love to support Epic as I’ve benefited from the free games they give out occasionally, sometimes a AAA title.

    • Thanks didn't know there's a 20% back

    • -8

Can’t support Epic, crying over paying Apple, Google and Microsoft to access their customers

Epics made billions from it then suddenly have a cry over it

    • +7

theyre not a mom and pop shop lol, epic is a multi billion dollar company. its not about supporting the company, just buy wherever you can get it the cheapest

      • At the moment, Epic has the best deal. I’d like to support companies that looks after gamers, and not just greed.

        • +1

no multi billion dollar company cares about gamers or consumers. they are all greedy by nature. they only care about consumers insofar as they can continue consuming their products

    • +1

Oh! That's good to know. Definitely a better offer via Epic.

    • +16

      sounds like a bad deal

      • +1

This deal is a bad deal.

        • +2

This has to be a pisstake.

Why pay $100 over 4 months when you can pay $108 now and own it forever?

BF6 is a fun game and can be easily played for years to come.

Unless you really love those games included in EA Pro.

          • -7

@adam7070: Because some people don't want to own games forever. They play it and then they're done with it.

            • @MrZ: Said everyone about multilayer games.

Since when was cod/bf ever a 4month game? These games become people's 2nd jobs

          • @adam7070: I agree subscribing to EA Play Pro is a bad deal, but this game isn't going to be around for more than one year.

The lack of persistent servers will kill it and we already know that's deliberate because DICE are going to do annual release cycles for Battlefield games now.

  • +1

Alternatively it's included with EA Play Pro.

$25 a month is expensive but if you're only going to play for a while and move on..

  • +7

Ukrainian vpn and buy it through the EA app. Its about $55

    • bet? Any chance it would be revoked?

      • +1

        bet

        • +2

I just did this for a friend and it's not appearing in their library… not sure if they have fixed but will wait a bit and see

          • @Duplicity: Please keep us updated if it appears. Interested in doing this :)

            • +1

@VvaughnVillain: I'm not sure.. we ended up initiating for refund and buying on India via wise physical card for around $20 extra. Showed up immediately in his library

    • +2

Just bought for 70 aud with 🇮🇳 VPN as I had no Ukraine servers to pick from on PureVPN.

Worked fine with my Revolut card and there wasn't any additional tax.

    • Did this at launch and no issues so far. I paid about 63$

      • Interesting. I'm keen to try it. Any specific steps I need to follow? I have a commbank travel card, would it work?

        • Just did it using NordVPN connected to Ukraine. No specific steps but to be on the safe side, what I did was log onto EA App beforehand as it'll ask about my trusted device. Closed EA then connected to Ukraine in NordVPN. Re-opened EA which then showed the price as 1699 (A$63 or so). Commit to the purchase using your travel card (I used ubank). Once the purchase was successful, I was able to see the game in my library. Hope that helps!

          • @pweeheffa: Didn't work with my Travel Card, any possibilty it would work with a normal credit card?

            • @itsmoe: My friend used his NAB debit card but I'm pretty sure he will incur fees. You could try if you don't mind paying a little more on top. Still beats full price.

              • @pweeheffa: Nice, nice I will try it tonight, I think my credit card has no international transaction fees, but I was worried if they will pick up that it's an Australian card somehow.

                Cheers brother.

    • Just completed this via using Open VPN and then VPN Jantit for the free VPN access to Ukraine and it's within my library as well. Only paid around $56 at the time! Only works with the EA app though.

I'd suggest purchasing through the browser if you can rather than the EA App, as the EA App can be a bit screwy with VPN.

Why is it expensive on pc

    • +5

Just how it is for us down under.

      Console: $79
      PC: $109

      • +4

I still can’t get my head around how new physical copies are often cheaper than digital, considering there is manufacturing, shipping, storage and employee costs all involved.

I guess when there is limited digital storefronts to purchase from, they can extract maximum value from customers.

    • +2

Because there's no physical version offered.

    • +4

This is what happens without physical copies, there's no competition

    • There probably isn't a single reason, but I imagine one of the big ones I can think of is the console platforms probably lowered licensing of platform related fees. Why would they do this? To help drive people over to their platform.

Also, to play online on console you need to have to pay monthly, so for the console makers they have incentive to lower the console price of this game, as it may be the reason why you keep paying for your membership with them.

  • +14

thats not even a 2% saving. Advertising an expensive game on a shit platform (EA) is not a bargain

    • I completely agree. This is more for those that were planning to buy the game anyway. A dollar saved is a dollar saved.

The positive thing is that there are cheaper ways to buy the game as discussed in these comments.

  • +2

I have my doubts buttt previous battlefields have gone on sale after a little bit

    • Yeah better to wait a month and see if theres any price drops.

  • +10

Rather pay full price to not have to use EA App.

  • +1

    VPN to Indonesia about 70aud

  • +2

If you have EA Play (included with Game Pass for PC), then it's $98.95 on the EA App. (EA Play gives a 10% discount)

  • +9

$2 saving really isn't worth using a grey market seller…

  • +1

VPN to CN for about $60aud, don't know why but CN seems to have the lowest price according to SteamDB

    • So can you just use vpn and purchase from canada store with no issues?

      • I bought battlefield 2042 using this method, not sure about purchase from Canada

    • Which service do you use sir that goes to CN?
I have WindScribe Pro and NordVPN through Revolut promotion, neither offer connection to CN.

      • I simply let my Chinese friend do it for me so I actually don't really know. I think it's called UU something

        • Not possible (on steam) unless you have a Chinese payment method or are fine with opening a new Steam account

          • @chorong: I went to China last year so I do have wechat and u can get the currency using different app

    • Does this work for steam also? Planning on giving this as a gift

      • I don't think u can send games to other players in different region.

    • I got it at around $45 on Taobao.com in August.

      • ngl, I don't recommend buying game from taobao. There are cases where the store disappeared and the game get refund from the steam. But if u can find reliable store with good review then that should be alright. The problem is that if u bought game from steam they can process refund within 14days and 2hours, u cannot refund the game with cdk.

        • Yes, I bought the game from stores with good reviews. You are right it is a bit risky. But I played the beta first and it was good that's why I made the purchase.

      • Really. That's strange as BF6 retail wasn't even released in August as that's when it was still in beta. Whatever that was wasn't BF6 retail as it didn't come out until October 2025. I think you got a BF6 beta key which is useless now. You got ripped off.

        • No, game pre-order already started by August.

  • Does it support family sharing on Steam?

  • +5

Over $100 for a digital game, wow 😮

    • AAA Games selling @ $110 is nothing new, been like that for ages

      • Bought diablo 4 for I think $120 on release. Have about 20 hours on it so far. This is why I pirate

        • $6/hr

  • For those suggesting to use a VPN to another country, you're installing via epic or the ea app? This doesn't work for steam right?

    • only for EA app

  • Anyone knows buying through Epic is the same as EA app?
As in EA tested working but Epic also works when buying outside AU but playable in AU?

    • +2

Buying through Epic (or EA) will require the EA app to launch the game. Buying through Steam does not. That, for me, is reason enough to buy from Steam, aside from the usual other benefits (consolidated library, hassle free refunds etc)

      • I am okay with EA, played BF2042 through my original cheap Gass Pass Ultimate subscription (through Turkey), which also required the EA app.
The question I have was more around comments above getting around 40-50% off by purchasing it on other platforms.
Which I might have found out, can't do it with Epic games, same with Steam, will use your account region, which gives you 109.95 :')

  • +1

I’d rather pay the extra $2 to have it on Steam, however the real deal is mentioned in the comments: Buy from the Epic Store and get 20% credit back for a future purchase.

  • +1

Got mine from India for $70 using Nord

  • Is there a specific posting about the VPN method. i'm keen to get a posting going so people can share their experiences/challenges.

    • Seems like connecting to a Ukraine VPN, log into EA and purchase with a no fee CC works.

  • Is this such a tiny saving really worth it over buying direct from EA or Steam so never risking it?.
