Catch of The Day $20 Tech Day

30

Catch of the day has a $20 tech stuff deal everything is "Under $20"

Some deals I liked were:

XtremeMac iPad Case — $0.50 :

targus stylus various colours — $4.95

Nokia Car Charger If anyone has a old nokia phone and needs a new car charger well it's your lucky day :) — $4.95

Yamaha YER-200 In-Ear Earphones 2-Pack - Brown — $10 RRP$30 each so not bad

… and many more

The problem with catch of the day is the shipping with the iPad case the shipping is $7.50 so it isn't exactly that good a deal if you just order one thing still I have 7 items in my bag and the shipping has gone up to $8.42. Not bad for multiple items then, expensive for just one…

The problem with Catch of the Day is not only that shipping is outrageously expensive but the website is super poorly organized.
No groups, no product categories, no search.
It's just a **** long list of randomly arranged items page over page.
Almost trying to induce you in some zen-state.
Sometimes there are good deals but finding them by scrolling through pages and pages of products makes me loose more time and get more frustration than the money I'm saving.
Why can't they have the 30 headsets all together so I can jump over them while scrolling? They can't they have the ipad sleeves all together so I can look at the and compare them visually on the same page.
    Why can't I SEARCH?
Yes, I know there is "Search". Just search for "sleeve' and you'll see a page of ipad, macbook and long-sleeve shirts mixed in one :(

because they want you to impulse buy

      • Postage prices is the reason i wont buy anything unless theres a shipping cfap and some ni8ce shoes or shirts but for earphones and shit you want but dont need its a deal breaker for me every time they after for 8.95 postage on something that costs 5 dollars

    • I used to check cotd Web at midday everyday but now just don't bother, looking at their website full of two dollars items sold at ten dollars

Some of you guys should go to Australia Post and see what it actually costs to ship items.

    • Agreed. Cost me $70 to send my XBOX 360 + accessories interstate when I sold it. Granted, all up it was around 9kg, but still..

is it the same rate Aus Post charge for one off individual postage and corporate with 10000+ each year?

      • No, but Australia post doesn't make much money off the shipping. Cotd has buying power, believe me.

  • Got four of those Xtrememac ipad cases with the free shipping deal a few weeks back.

    $2 delivered.
