I've heard of blow up dolls but now they have blow up mattresses of Lindsay Lohan?

    • +1

Ok bad joke. Ill make my way to the door myself.

      • +3

don't let it hit you on the way out

      • +1

for what it's worth, i loled

  • seems ok, for 15 bux I thought id give it a burl…

  • This may seem like a really silly question…but:

I understand they are self inflating, but are they deflatable and can be re-inflated later?

    If so, I'll buy one!

    • +3

yes basically they come deflated, when you unpack them the foam sucks in air as it takes back its natural shape, you then plug the suck in hole and sleep on it, once done you take the plug back out, roll it up tightly all the air escapes then you plug it back up for storage…

it relies on the foam going back to its natural shape to suck air in…

    • +2

Yes. People use these for camping. It is recommended that you store these flat (e.g. under the bed) with the valve open for better longevity, otherwise the foam looses it's memory.

      • by storing them flat with valve open, do you mean fully inflated?

  • Wow, what a bargain, thank you so much!

  • Thanks. Seems like a pretty good deal. Now to see if it will be a decent replacement for my swag mattress.

    • Yep. And smaller. Much better.

  • Bought one, cheers op!

  • +4

I googled some information on the self inflating mattress and found in forums: The effort of rolling them up is not to be ignored. And they do not roll down to a very small size. Just make sure you get 10cm thick, and that foam is CORED. This the difference between inferior and quality brands. Cored chambers allow for better inflation, deflation, and storage of air -meaning more comfort.

    • Yes, this reflects my experiences with this kind of inflatable mattress too.

      • So what do you think about these 5cm Li-Lo mattresses? Worth getting or upgrading to better quality?

        • +1

Everything I know about self-inflating mattresses is on this page:

          http://www.campingcountryaustralia.com.au/self-inflating-cam…

The recommended ones are $130 or $250 in shops but are apparently def. worth it if you will be using them regularly.

However, for $15 for a brand-name bonded SI mattress I think the LiLo is worth a purchase.

        • It's $15. Can't really argue for the price. But you'll feel the floor with these, so maybe get 2? (Have fun rolling them up though!)

  • Site down?

  • Is the site down?

    edit, must be.

    • Probaly was a scam.. paypal payment was going to Jackel Pty Ltd

      • +2

Perhaps not, looks like it's these guys:

  • Now shows $99.95, 89.95, 79.95 and 69.95, so no longer a bargain
    :-(

    • Click "Go To Deal" above. If you browse via the website home page you still find the more regular pricing as you've described.

    • I think that is just a link to the products but not the sale.

I can now get back to the sale page but every mattress is sold out.

  • Just bought 2 @ $15 each

  • Website down for me - anyone else?

  • +1

Don't waste your time…bit dodgy…'Home' link displays "Welcome! This site is new and will have content shortly."

  • GONE

  • +2

That is a horrible looking website :/

  • Still down for me

  • Bought one, this will come handy for guests

  • This probably was a scam.. paypal payment was going to Jackel Pty Ltd

If you dont get your product, you can dispute it via paypal

      • True, thanks for that. I wonder if they will honour $15 matress with postage to another state… posting a 1Kg matress will cost a bit too. I sense a few cancellations of the $15 orders.

  • +2

Well, if you think it is a scam you could always ring the phone number provided on the purchase page "Lynne Wilson on 02 8845 5533" and ask.

edit: the Home page www.lilo.com.au seems to be up again and says "If you need help to complete your purchase, or wish to find a retail stockist in your area, please telephone Jackel Pty Ltd on 1300 667 859".

    Certainly seems a legit business.

    • +7

I rang Lynne, she seems lovely. She said she isn't running any scams this month.

      • +4

That's great. And what did she say about a $15 matress promotion?

      • +4

        Lol, "this month."

  • Website is back up

  • out of stock though?

    • Its sold out i think cannot click the button anymore

  • not showing the discounted prices any longer. So deal is over I guess

    • +1

As already stated above - Click the "Go to Deal" link.

  • All out of stock :(

  • "Go to Deal" link is still working for me. I can still add items to the cart.

  • Just for comparison: Oztrail Self Inflating Mat $119 - Single: Size: 195 x 70 x 8cm; Weight: 4.5Kg. The Li-Lo #200123 Long Single: Size 193 X 63 X 5 cm; Weight 1.7kg. That's around 40% of the weight.

    • 4.5kg- I'd hate to be carrying that around in my backpack.

  • +4

Nice deal, only if they honor it though. look at the other buy links, you can change price and name in the title, not really a proper order form, a lure marketing scam.

    Here's yours for $1

    http://ww5.aitsafe.com/cf/add.cfm?userid=72172240&product=20…

    • +1

so its more like "name your own price" or "Pay what you want"

    • Excellent. I just put through an order for 2 at $1 each. With postage cost and a mattress… This is a deal and a bargain! Thank you mechx!

    • +3

The web address (aitsafe.com) is provided by Mal's e-commerce who boast about the fact they enable you to "just add Buy Now buttons to your existing product pages and start taking orders straight away". What I love about that statement is that nothing said there is untrue, but somehow it does rather miss the point of e-commerce.

  • +1

that's a DVD quality website right there

    • +3

      More like "straight to VHS."

Ps. Cut them some slack. They are probably MSY's even-more-outdated-cousin.

      • HD-DVD?

  • +1

    Looks like I'm too late.

    Oh why why why ……. D Li-Lo

    • Because you just couldn't take anymore.

  • cutting edge web design.

  • Anyone receive their mattress yet?

    • +1

No, but the order confirmation said to allow 5 working days

      • I did not even get a confirmation from the seller. PayPal already charged my credit card. Should I be worried?

        • Same. Paid with PayPal, haven't heard or recieved anything at all… :/

  • Well that sucks… Offered me a smaller one at the same price or a refund in four days. Given I'm 6'2 its too short…

Very disappointing +removed.. Wish I could neg.. Specially given I put my order in immediately. Wouldn't have been a neg if they contacted me right away… However a week after they have my money is not good enough… No scam this week my ass!!!

    • A little disappointed to..but given i never sleep fully stretched out I figured it'd be worth a go with the smaller ones. Strange that they still have stock on their site of the larger ones though.. Hmmm

      • I got a refund and expressed my disappointment…neg given as not a deal for me considering I ordered right away. I was one of the first.

  • +1

I got the email also and went with the smaller one. I can understand people's frustration that it has taken a week to find out they don't have stock.

  • no doubt theyre doing it as a way to deal with all the orders, palm as many off as possible to the cheapest mattress. but i went with it anyway, $15 delivered is still reasonable esp given postage itself will cost them half of that.

  • Mine has arrived. The standard length anyway- I ordered the extra long but was told it was either this or refund. Can't complain mustn't grumble.

    • Mine arrived too this morning, from Rydalmere NSW.

  • tried using it last night. doesnt self inflate. pretty dodgy product actually. anyone else tried using it?

    • For the first time use you have to blow air into it, it even comes with instructions telling you to do so. I'm happy with mine.

      • Blow air how, with what? Didn't know I had to buy a pump for a "self-inflating" mattress.

        • Blow air how,

use a blow air hoe at your local brothel

        • +1

Look what i found on the intrawebs for you:

Breathe in real big, tighten lips around the hole, and blow until all the air is out of lungs- keep mouth tightly against hole, covering with your tongue, breathe in through your nose, and repeat.

          Easy, ain't it?

  • Still haven't heard or received anything yet. Going to be lodging a paypal claim if this doesn't show up soon. Its been 3 weeks.

  • So some positive feedback..I took the option for the smaller mattress and although it needs some air they're actually really good mattresses…I'm sure they'll get better with use as well. Very happy! Good deal guys!

  • Sorry to attempt to raise an old deal. I received the mattress last week, unrolled it, opened the valve and left it. After 4 days… nothing. I didn't think there were so many things to do. Followed the directions on the packaging as shown. Do I even mattress?

Ok, I read the above comments and seems the first go should be done manually by yourself.
