  • @Rep : Give us a deal on Test Kit.

  • Thanks rep. Just bought one !

  • any deal with a hose?

  • +4

This would be the worse cleaner I have tried over the years including a couple of Barracudas, Questa Max I Vac and another that I can't remember.

It doesn't pick up leaves very well as they tend to go over the op of the rubber pad. Large items don't get picked up at all.

Good at picking up dirt and very small items.

The intake section of the weir adapter in the skimmer box sites high in my poolrite skimmer box so needs a lot of water in the pool. Speed control valve doesn't seem to work very well and lots of sucking noises.

Some items came in the box but no mention of them in the manual so I have no idea what they do.

Couldn't use my leaf catcher with it, not that it would seem to do much anyway as it doesn't pick up leaves!

I bought it at the earlier special of $75 I think.

    I can't recommended this product.

    • Mine worked for 2 days/times and then I had to disconnect for filtering, and then reconnecting after that it wont work, it just sucks in water but wont do the cleaning. I have checked for any leakages, blockage but since it is sucking in water but not cleaning or any movement, I am planning to return it back. I bought it with the special $75/- deal, not sure I would get my money back. I would stay away at the moment till they fix this. Thanks.

  • I hear that these cheap alternatives are really good… a friend got one, put it in the pool for a day, took it out, put it in the garage and been sitting there for around a year or two now. Ended up fixing the original Kreepy Krauly that was in the pool for around 10+ years and never looked back. How are these Triphibian, any reviews?

  • Have you come to clean ze pool?

  • Forgot to add that the hose is different dimensions so I couldn't use it with the barracuda cleaner.

Hose may fit some others cleaners but mine missed by a whisker with a bit of heat to soften it.

    • hmmm. OP states that key features include:

"Can use the following Baracuda replacement parts: diaphragm, hoses."

  • Recently bought one from ALDI which does a pretty good job of pick-up for $70 on sale (no hoses included).

Only wish I now knew how to get it to cover the entire bottom surface of the pool rather than creating a very clean 'racing track' ring around the border :/

    • I got the Aldi one and it was just shit ..

I took it back after spending 3 days on it

  • I got one in the last deal and the only problem was it would get stuck on the main drain as i have a odler style pool.Once i put a cover in, its been going like a champ.

Hasnt gotten stuck in any corners, climbs walls and has been able to remove my leaves fine.
Some larger stuff like some palms it doesnt but i wouldnt expect it to

    Very good cheap alternative

    • @ Noonoo

Mine moves faster than the Barracuda which might impact why it misses the bigger leaves as it moves too fast for them to get sucked in properly. When I get home I will figure out an approximate speed rating

Do you keep the speed control valve and inlet hose always below the water level?

      Cheers

  • I sent the rep some PM's after the last deal, but have not had any response…

Does anyone have a valid download link for the manual?

  • The manual can be downloaded from the product page in our site, or simply click here to download it.

    • That is not the manual it is a quick start guide, which is included with the cleaner I bought from you.

The quick start guide says to download the detailed user manual go to poolrite.com.au, but since the collapse of poolrite there is nothing on the site about pool cleaners, which is why I asked for new download location..

This cleaner always gets stuck on the steps, so I had to shorten the hose. It now misses 1/3 of the pool to avoid getting stuck on the stairs.

The cleaner is really good at cleaning walls, and the bottom at it's new maximum reach.

So I was hoping the proper manual would have some suggestions, otherwise it will be fairly useless.

I'm going to experiment with hose weights to see if I can get it to stop climbing the walls.

Is there any reason why you didn't respond to my support PM's on the 6/3 and 11/3?
