I got this for my wife today. A victoria online store 123done.com.au had it for cheaper.

After some discussion I got them to agree to beat the $498 instore price and not count the delivery cost 123done.com.au would have charged.

    When I spoke to their head office this morning they told me since I was going instore shipping wouldn't be counted as 123done.com.au had pickup option.
    When I went into North Sydney they were not happy at approving that option but they agreed in the end to honour what the Head Office had said.

      ok point taken, but i'm getting the feeling this waiving of shipping is entirely up to the discretion of the individual manager and therefore no guarantee of getting the same deal elsewhere, if you can convince OW head office they will make it statewide policy

    Granted in general it may be harder. But if you wanted this product you could show the receipt as proof Officeworks did allow it. Try your luck!

    OP, you are lucky as 123done is in QLD and your OW store is in N Sydney. Even there is a pick up option, I don't think it's convenient for you to pick it up. OW could have add the shipping if they know 123done is in QLD. Well done!

      OfficeaWorks just told me they will not price beat that firm, as it is on their 'list' of grey market importers.

      Sorry, new to this. Here is the receipt. They price matched the previous price not the $419. Just thought it might be a good deal. Didn't know they were a grey importer.

        You were very lucky that the store rep. did not check.

        OfficeWorks Bondi Junction NSW, and their Head Office, would not match or price-beat DWI as they are grey market sellers who ship from Hong Kong.

        I take it that your T100 arrived from Hong Kong? So, no local warranty from ASUS?
