Masters 15% off Coupon

1970
BWS15

I bought some wine from BWS the other day that had a Masters offer for 15% off.

I've just scanned the docket in store and have since tested the BWS15 code online which still seems to work.

Docket states 'excludes appliances, commercial quantities and purchase of wish cards'.

Just so happens that we've had to replace a toilet in the new house! And it makes it a really suite deal with 15% OFF!

  • Hi

Can anyone help me with what they had to buy at BWS to get the coupon as the item that I would like is unavailable online. Thank you

    Spent $2400. Damn!

  • My local bunnings (Thornleigh) just refused price matching because it is only cheaper with a promotional code, and their big banner has T&C suggesting it "excludes discounts, commercial stock, blablabla".

The highlight here is "Discounts", basically they only price match if and only if the original price of the competitor is lower. :(

That is just stupid. So if a competitor has a sale (ie. discount), then they don't price match the discounted price? It just doesn't make sense to price match original prices only. If that ever happens to me, I will no longer waste my time going to Bunnings to try and get a price beat. I guess it all depends on the staff and some are easier than others. Luckily for me, I've usually got 10% price beat from Bunnings and Masters without much problems.

Sorry, but they're quite within their right to refuse in this instance. That's why no one else here has even tried to do that. What they will match and/or beat is everyday pricing and advertised specials! This is a discount voucher not a special. You can't go into a Shell servo for petrol with Woolies/Caltex voucher can you?

I'm confused. Is shell pricematching petrol now?

        • +1

          Price matching… No!
          Price fixing… Yes!

I was referring to the comment that victorheaven said T&C says "excludes discounts". When there is a sale, naturally the product is discounted from the normal price. So in this instance, the T&C says "excludes discounts" which means it is well within their rights to refuse price beat. This is what I was referring to as being "silly".

For the part where a voucher is required to be presented in order for the discount to apply, then that's understandable that it is really up to the person you're asking if they feel like giving you the discount based upon the voucher.

        • I actually replied to vh's post. But I guess it's for everyone's understanding that their T&Cs are quite clear about the difference between a discounted item and a sale item… and in my opinion, more than fair!

  • I bought 15 25L packs of potting mix which is the Grange gro (normally $2.98) for $2.5x. When I picked it up they gave me the Debco Premium potting mix instead which I guess is around $7-$8.

Not sure if that's part of a deal or what but I'm happy with my purchase. The staff are very helpful too.

    • No thats just the staff not knowing what you ordered etc and just picking any random product!

      • maybe not… Sometimes if they have no stock of what you ordered, they supply a better product (well thats what woolies online does, maybe same policy with Masters)

        • If this is true, then this is one great policy.

    • Debco is supposed to be the best potting mix by far (have heard that from multiple sources), so you got an excellent deal!
