    Bought, thanks.

Update- mine arrived yesterday and the quality is terrible. Minimal money lost, but I am disappointed with them. I really expected better. Had to bin them during impossible install attempts.

  • +10

I ordered a couple of Iphone screen protectors (the dry install variety) last time these were on sale (st Patricks day sale).

Both looked imperfect since they were shipped in an envelope with very little in the way of protection (eg cardboard backing or anything else resembling real packaging) and surface of protectors looked somehow a bit scratchy.

Had to bin one straight away because the application stickers were on the wrong way around and didn't think to check this before applying. In terms of screen clarity it isn't bad, but there's nothing to differentiate the quality of these to others I've sourced a lot cheaper on ebay. If you're after conventional dry installs I can't recommend these at all from my experience, maybe others have had better luck.

I got negged into oblivion for giving a bad review of my experience with this product in the last post. I found the actual dry screen savers were terrible quality and too sticky on the outside surface which made it a pain for swiping.

      • +3

Same. Screw it. Let these idiots piss away their money on this overpriced sticky tape.

      • +2

Definitely agree, got a couple and they were way too sticky on the outside to use comfortably. Both were a little wonky from the post too.

    • I found that if you actually properly install the wet application ones they work very well, more so than Zagg's version at least. As for the dry (HD) ones, they seem to all not be cut properly around the camera holes, but it does appear to resist scratches better than el cheapo ones from eBay, but that may just be a placebo.

      • +1

All the wet-install ones I've seen are definitely a lot more scratch-resistant as they are more rubber-like. The really cheap ones on ebay are absolutely crap - they almost scratch themselves when you breathe on them.

    • I still haven't received my order from St Patrick's Day!!

  • Use these on my Nexus 4, work great, a bit sticky on the touch though, but increases your grip.

Just got an iPad Air, bought for it also, thanks!

  • Bought two Iphone screen protectors for US$2.79, thanks.

  • Thanks, bought a couple cases and a screen protector for my cousin's Nexus 5.

My past experience with XtremeGuard has been pretty horrible but I'll just hope for the best.

I've ordered about twice 2 years ago for my Galaxy Nexus, but after receiving the wrong items (got some Galaxy Note ones or something, receiving damaged items (the adhesive was already peeled off in the mail) and receiving very badly cut items (the hole for the camera wasn't properly cut and it didn't reach the edge on the sides but went over on the top and bottom): I ended up runnin' my Nexus naked. No regret. Gotta mention that they sent me replacement ones when I received the Galaxy Note protectors but not when I received the damaged one or mentioned mine weren't well-cut.

  • +1

Might just be me, but why use a screen protector at all? The last one I tried got so scratched within 2weeks it made it hard to see. So I tore it off and never looked back. My phone goes in one pocket, keys and coins in another. Also since most devices are gorilla glass or similar, isn't it adding protection where it is not needed?

    • +6

You must have bought a cheap one.
Good screen protectors don't get scratched easily. You can also get tempered glass screen protectors.

The last time I decided not to use one, my screen got scratched. I have a dedicated phone pocket.

Keys and coins aren't the problem, it's things like grains of sand and diamond rings that will easily scratch gorilla glass.

    • Read this for more information on why sand can scratch the screen

  • bought full body kit, high def screen and 'normal' screen protector and case for 2 phones and it comes to 8.95 delivered!

  • +2

they fudged my order up on the last sale. Pretty crap protectors as well…feels so sticky on the fingers

  • +3

My experience with these guys is not good. The front protector is crap and like any other $1 protector on eBay. My first rear protector wet application had no adhesive and was faulty, I binned it. The second rear wet application wasn't too bad.

I'd say this price should be standard

  • +1

received the galaxy note 3 front protector. did not fit at all.. it was substantially smaller and out of shape. ipad ones are okay.

  • +2

I had the sgs3 protectors, they work fine…
lots of negative reviews here but no negs??

    • Well… it's definitely a good deal!

    • +1

it's pretty damn good deal. even el cheapo one from ebay would have cost more

    • which one did you get? The hi-def dry install one?

  • Bought them the last time during St Patrick's Day sale.
I agree the packaging were horrible, just a standard envelope with cardboard backing.
    Thankfully, all mine were OK.

I got the dry application for Nexus 4 and full body wet application for Sony Z.
    Both works great!

    • I personally much prefer an envelope with 99c shipping rather than nice thick packaging with $7 shipping.

  • i had $13 for shipping, how do you get 0.99 shipping?

  • these protectors are an absolute waste of money

  • Thanks looks like great value

  • Got full kit in the last 85% off sale. It does what it can for the price i paid.

  • +1

Dammit. I was looking for a code for Xtreme Guard on Sunday. Best I could find was 50% off. Would have saved myself $5.

FYI I use the back protectors. Teamed with a bumper they offer good protection against scratches and falls while adding nearly no bulk to a phone.

  • Nice one, thanks Op!

  • Awesome deal, just got full kit for Xperia Z1 and Surface Pro 2 for $4.10

    Thanks OP

  • I got some from the last deal - quality is very average compared to other companies I've used, like best skins ever. The screen protector is crap as well (ended up sticking with SGP). It's cheap but you get what you pay for!

    • Wet-install protectors never feel as nice as a good dry-install one like SGP. The surface feels more tacky. They are tougher as a result, though.

      • I actually opted for the dry install screen protector not the wet one (although the rest of the body was wet install of course). It's equivalent to those $1 screen protectors from eBay.

        • I ordered some dry install ones but haven't installed them yet. They feel tougher than the $1 protectors on ebay that scratch themselves when you breathe on them.

I ended up getting a Nilkin glass screen protector for my HTC One M8. It actually feels better than the bare glass and only cost $11 delivered.

        • I will have to look into this Nilkin one, sounds pretty good thanks!

        • This is where I got mine from:
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161261790894

And this is what it looks like installed:

  • thanks Op. great post.

  • Im still waiting for delivery from the last deal.
26 days after it was "Shipped" still waiting.

Hell I remember buying a CPU on eBay in 2005 and getting it NY to Adelaide in 4 days.

  • i noticed maximum 15 items for discount to work.

    all the kids toys covered.

  • I'm happy with my wet application screen protectors.

They aren't perfect. They stop my fingers from gliding over the screen, but they also let me hold my device with one hand and a loose grip. I like $2 things that stop me from dropping stuff.

As for the stick tape claim, it's a thin, soft polymer with glue on one side. What do you expect it to feel like? Ice cream?

I have Hori screen protectors on devices that feel smooth and not at all sticky, why defend a PoS product? I don't get the logic other than to stave off buyers remorse. I bought several of these and binned the spares immediately after realizing I'd wasted my money on a poor product.

      • Because it's cheap, does the job and in my experience the wet screen protectors are non-sticky and feel high quality.

I've bought these on three occasions. Why would I have buyer’s remorse on a two dollar product I'm happy with? I wouldn't by a back protector for a non-glass back again, but at $1 wasted, I'm not fussed.

My last purchase I didn't buy a spare because I haven't needed my other spares.

I really like being able to hold my tablet loosely without dropping it.

  • For a bit of fun, stick one of these onto someone's phone that already has one attached. Then watch them spend ages trying to get the bubbles out.

  • Cheers OP.
    Asus FHD 10.1 F + B covers delivered for 5.35

  • Hi there op,
which one of these is for Australian LG G2? Thanks.
    http://www.xtremeguard.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=lg+g2&Su…

  • Got the front and back for my note 3, from the last deal (arrived a few days ago).

It's not cut to the right shape. Too thin, too short, looks like someone cut it with a blade rather than a machine cutting it. Good deal but I wouldn't buy again..

  • Got the nexus 5 dry install ones from the last st patrick's deal. I am happy with it, the screen clarity is good. When i first applied it, i agree it felt sticky when swiping, but if you rub it a little, the stickiness goes away, now feels smooth.

  • no more 99c shipping :(

    • If order 2 cases, no 99c shipping, I have to separate my order.

  • Thanks op. I bought 2x screen covers and a case for $3.99 + 99cents shipping :))

  • I am still waiting for this to come in.
    Has others received theirs?
    Thanks

  • Shipping for me (2DS protectors) is $5.87, NOT 99c. Title needs to change.

  • Finally installed mine last night. I ordered a few different ones, but so far have only installed the rear skin for my HTC One M8.

It's cut well, fits correctly, and feels as I expected.

    Quite satisfied.

  • Ordered 2 x S3 & 2 x Iphone 5c protectors in the last deal; order date was 18/03/14 and still have not received the items; USPS still showing that it is sitting at a Sort Facility in the US.
Terrible service, cant recommend these guys!

    • I assume you mean USPS has terrible service and you can't recommend them, since it looks like they're the ones causing the delay.

  • My order arrived today. Well some of it. Despite the items saying all shipped in the my account area of the web site, a quarter of the protectors are missing. I'll contact them, but after looking back at the comments from other sales from this mob, I'm glad I didn't spend too much.
