Are they any good ? I generally buy from IKEA but this seems cheap

These are generic batteries. You can get generic batteries cheaper. For example: https://www.masters.com.au/product/100023787/utilitech-1-5v-…

German-made Varta ones are $8.98 for 24 at Bunnings if I remember right.
      (AA is 30 for $8.98)

As mentioned in the recent AA about these, they leak like a sieve.

They will wreck your equipment, thus they are very sh!t.

Just thinking wouldn't you rather get the 40pk for the same price?.

      AA vs AAA.

      • Ahhh yes the different battery size. Easy mistake.

      Read the reviews.

  • Seems like there is no AAA stock at Masters (not to mention no store at all in Tassie). Regarding quality I have been buying the DS alkalines (AA and AAA) on special for the last twenty years or so and haven't had a single problem with leakage or otherwise. Perhaps the quality has gone off, or perhaps some isolated problems. Oh well I will have 60 arriving soon so I will find out. I know the eBay rechargeable cheapies usually die after a week or so.

IT IS NEVER HOT ! how would batteries leak in cold weather

      • -1

Batteries leak beautifully in cold weather.
Leakage is due to a chemical reaction as the batteries age and poor construction.
Living is Tassie wont save you, lol.

        EDIT:
        Haha you negged.

      "Quality drop?

I've been buying these since last year and I love the price and the capacity, it's so much cheaper than the Panasonic or the Energizer and lasts just as long (if not longer), but recently i bought another 40 and i used 4 together and found they're leaking. Is there something wrong recently?"

  • stock up if your using an xbox lol
