Dunlop Aerogel 130 Squash Racquet Priced at $12 @ Harvey Norman (Was $102) Plus Delivery

930

Seen by lisss and just passing on the deal.

"Yesterday, this racquet cost $102. Today it has been reduced to $12."

Delivery for me was $12, so $24 seems like a great deal, even though I'm 'advanced' as a player in my thinking! :-P

Experience some true power with the Dunlop Aerogel 130 Squash Racquet. The Dunlop Squash Racquet has a superior strength to weight ratio, improved power with longer strings, and offers enhanced stiffness.
Strength to Weight Ratio

Enjoy some serious strength behind your swing with the Dunlop Squash Racquet featuring a three-dimensional nanometer-sized molecular network which gives it a strength ratio of up to 4,000 times its own weight.
Improved Power

The power of the Dunlop Racquet is improved by the Teardrop headshape and Powermax string pattern, meaning that the string length is longer and giving it that extra degree of power.
Suitable For

The Dunlop Aerogel 120 Squash Racquet is suitable for intermediate players.

    • Yep, same here.

    • Same here, unfortunate but still a bargain.

I bought mine within minutes of this post going up so i wonder if anyone got the aerogel?

"Due to this pricing error, we received unexpected demand for this product. We have exhausted all stock in our warehouse and have subsequently purchased more stock from the supplier of a different model. We will be fulfilling your order however it will be with a Dunlop Predator 50".

    • Yep, I also got an email, but apparently there is not enough of the other model to fulfill all the orders.

"Due to this pricing error, we received unexpected demand for this product. We have processed orders in the order in which they were received and unfortunately your order cannot be fulfilled.

There mustn't be many then, I ordered it somewhat early, but I guess there were a few who purchased like 5+ each. Oh well :(

  • Received email.
Pricing error… suppose to be $115.
HN not honoring orders for $12.

  • Just an update guys, they are fulfilling the orders, but with a dunlop predator 50. I had a look around and retails for around 60 -120 online, so still a pretty good bargain. I have never played squash though so any insight on this racquet would be great :)

  • Just got a email saying that their offering the Dunlop predator 50 instead. Is it worth it?

    • I'm in the same limbo seems like a decent bargain even for the alternative option. Have to wait and hear from fellow professionals

  • This is now no longer a good deal. I thought I was buying a $100+ racquet, now I'm getting a cheaper racquet, listed at $59.99 here -> http://www.amazon.com/DUNLOP-Predator-50-Squash-Racquet/dp/B…

    I want my money back!

      • It seems like it's still a pretty good bargain

        • It may still be a bargain, but it's not what I ordered. I don't like that HN just changed the product on me without asking. They should have at least given me the option of this other product or my money back.

This replacement racquet is not as good as the one I ordered and I don't want it. I already have 2 other racquets so I don't want cheap racquets just taking up space at home.

    • They didn't even offer a replacement :-(

    • Same :-(

    • same, didn't get an offer replacement

    • me too. same thing. got the money back, they refunded money! :(

Do they not have stock levels built into their ordering system? I call bullshit on this!

  • I got the same email about out of stock and fulfilling with Dunlop Predator 50.

I assume 2 of these Dunlops for $36 incl shipping is still an unbeatable price? I really mostly ordered because the price was too good to resist, and I do enjoy playing squash even though I haven't played in years.. but yeah, still a good racquet I think so I'll probably just let the order ride.

Sounds like a classic bait and switch to me

  • soo…. no one has got anything yet… I know I haven't heard anything…

  • I attempted to get my money back, but was told it is too late. I do not want this racquet as I specifically wanted the Aerogel 130 only. So would anyone like to buy my racquet off me once it arrives? I'm willing to sell it for the same price that I paid for it, which is $24 ($12 + $12 delivery).

    • Good to know it's finally shipped! Maybe look at their return policy if you get no takers. Credit card chargeback as last option.

  • Just got my racquets.

Got mine too, decent racquet for the price. Definitely worth more than what was paid. For that price you wouldn't get any more than a heavy aluminium racquet. No complaints from me.

  • So yeah, I'm pretty annoyed. I found it strange and wrong that they would replace the order with another raquet to begin with. I figured sure, seemed like a good deal even though technically I was a bit annoyed and thought that they should have asked if I wanted to do it instead of just telling me that they would be sending me something else than what I ordered.

ANYWAY, got them today. So I obviously ordered the Dunlop Aerogel 130 and was then told that they were sending me the Predator 50 instead. Opening the box today, they've done another switch and instead I got a couple of Predator 40.

Google seems to tell me they are very similar (can't find any difference at all actually), but based on the model number I assume it is another small downgrade? I kind of just want to get a refund out of principle now. Don't think it will be worth the hassle, but doing two switches without any active consent (regardless of the value of the replacements) is just NOT cool.

    • Google time! "The Dunlop Predator Series are a great entery leve racquet. The Predator 60 weighs 150g and features Dunlop's Power Grommets for explosive power. The Predator 50 & Predator 40 are the same racquet with different graphics. All 3 Predator series racquets have ACS Technology and Braided Carbon."

      • Cool, thanks, yeah they seemed very similar. They still shouldn't be switching products though.
