Hi All. I bring you another great deal from iHerb.

I bought this Organic extra virgin coconut oil from iHerb 2 weeks ago and been using it since then for cooking, salads, etc. For those who have never used it, it is one of the healthiest oils and its aroma is fantastic plus it locks in the flavor of food, especially steak.

Before buying this, i researched prices of coconut oil in Australia and cgeapest i could find was over $40 delivered just for one Liter. But with iHerb, you can get over 3L for the same price and the products have plenty of Positive reviews.

The products are:

Basically you have to buy a total of 2 so your order is over $40.

At checkout, you get 10% off with current promo and if you use a referral link below, you also get $10 off your first order over $40.
Feel free to use my referral link with thanks :) or any other random if you prefer.

Shipping to Australia is $9 for this deal

  • Best before? We use coconut oil the time, but 3.2 ltr … wow, that would take a while?

Is coconut oil in Australia really that expensive? I get mine from Banaban. People on the Gold Coast get free delivery.

Still, thanks for the link! will try it sometime when I finish the 5L in my pantry…

    • Me, too! I get 5 litres at a time, delivered to Vic. for about $85. Love it!

I cant understand your maths on this deal (are you including the referral bonus in your headline rate and is that USD or AUD?)

However locally you can buy organic Coconut oil 3L for $50 (300g for $5 on special this week) at Woolies and you dont have to buy it in as large a quantity.

As the referral bonus is good on any first order why waste it on a deal that is no cheaper than what you can buy here.

    $US53 with shipping. vs $A50

  • Good price op. I was about to buy some Banaban but this beats that by a bit.

Any idea of the country of origin? It looks fine and it's organic but it'd be nice to know… the Banaban stuff looks amazing.

  • I get mine at Costco, I'll be damned if I recall how much it is though. I think it's 940ml (bloody Americans, that's like the perfect 32 oz or some stupid thing) - but ……. I think the price was $9 or $15? I can't recall - about the same price as this stuff actually.

I use it for my popcorn, it's one of the 'good' fats, in moderation of course.

The one in Costco is sold by Ecofarms, it is non-hydrogenated and unrefined which is the way to go. 900g for $13 if I'm right. Not sure on grams vs mL conversion…

I used to buy Woolies Macro branded unrefined coconut oil, $5.99 for 300g but Costco turns out to be cheaper.

    Organic Coconut Oil Purified-Deodorised 5L

    • add shipping costs which varies from $6 sydney metro to $54

    • I don't think this is virgin oil? I think it's been heat treated, which takes away a lot of the goodness - big difference. You can get cheap coconut oil in the indian shops which is equivalent.
      Correct me if I'm wrong

Yeah, they have a separate one that is virgin/raw here -

Our local bulk food buying group in Wahroonga (SYD) actually use these guys, and we are able to get wholesale rates, if anyone was interested.

5L Organic Virgin Coconut Oil - Raw $66.70 (= 3L for $40.02) (Origin, Sri Lanka, Certified CUNION)

It would be pick up only from Wahroonga. You'd need to order by end of tomorrow as the 15th is our monthly order cut-off. For more info, check out the links below:

Price List http://bit.ly/1lDKTZI (We only have 1L listed on the price list ($22.40) but could get 5L or if you want 20litres.. :-0 Or if you want nuts, grains, seeds, etc)

Yeh non first-presseed/virgin is pretty fcking awful… i bought some cheap stuff by mistake from a chinese grocerer…. horrible muck.

  • What is a referral bonus?

    • the poster profits from you if you buy through their link..They get given money to spend on their own goods. You also get some money off your first order.

      • You basically get $5 - $10 off your first order and referrer get 4% credit of the order total.

For this deal, referrer would get $1.30

  • Why don't you buy the Macro's one (from Woolworth) @ $6 for ~ 330gm extra virgin coconut oil, unrefined & cold-pressed. Made in Sri Lanka. Otherwise, get the Melrose one (now "bottled in Australia", rather than previously labelled "made in Australia with imported ingredients) at Chemist Warehouse which now has ~$7.50 as regular price. Throw in its 25% discount coupon from the (2013 edition) Entertainment booklet, then you have a great deal.

The one from Macro is more aromatic!!

Coconut oil is MCT type, the only oil perfect for frying and NOT affected by intense heat. Great for treating memory issues too! I take 2 tea spoons daily with my drink.

Great for moisturing skin too, better than the expensive horse oil or any other oil that I tried.

    • also great for tanning, gives a nice tan color
