I know the Palm Treo series was discontinued a little while ago and this is thus, aging technology, but if you're looking for such a multi-tasking device at a good price, this is the way to go with it incorporating a full qwerty keyboard and 3G capabilities.

They usually have it at Dick Smith for $497 but I found that in the next catalogue, it will be $300 off, making it cheaper than the best on static ice which is $239

According to one of the guys at my local store, they have quite a few in stock however I expect them to move pretty fast so if you want one you should probably get in as early as possible.

    Treo 500 has been sold for $199 more than 1/2 year ago so $197 is definitely not something with a big $$$ off. But still, good price for a nice (a bit old though) phone with QWERTY.

    Probably a good cheap replacement for those on the blackberry 8707g three plan, if you dont care about the blackberry service. Only problem is to figure out how to disable data while roaming.

    I use the Palm Treo 500v and love it.
    I use it with Three to make calls, emails, texts and surf the web including Messenger, Facebook, E-Bay and Google Maps etc.
    I think that this one is a 500 and not the 500v but I don't know the difference between the two.

      500v has vodafone branding and plain 500 does not. goodgearguide says only diff is the menus.
