  • $25 postage to SA, not too bad.

  • Does the coupon code "FREE SHIPPING" for free shipping work with this deal?

and for the rep 'olc', if i paid through bank deposit tonight, would the money go through by tomorrow?

    • FREE SHIPPING code only valid with products with FREE SHIPPING logo, and this is one is not, but you can pickup in our city store to avoid shipping fee.

We will probably received 1-2 days after you deposit the money, but you can put on the comment to invoice the product on the order date.

      • coz i want to get 50% off for the education taxback. But all items have to be bought by 30th of June. So if i buy this can you put it on the receipt that i bought this on the 29th?

A shame about the shipping charge. I'm in Melbourne so can't pick up from your store.

  • I am thinking of using the 701 as an 'ipod' attached to an external 400 gig hard drive with .wav songs on it. Does anyone know if what 'music manager' is like on these computers and could it handle playing the songs. Thanks.

    • Amorak — it should be able to handle everything you throw at it :) A bit on the heavy side though.

  • Thanks Scotty - keep up the good work.

  • Is it worth upgrading to the 1GB Ram for $25?

olc do you have much stock of the batteries? (I noticed your site said 'while stocks last').

    • got only 2 black 21 pearl white and 13 plain white

  • Doesn't look like it's expired.

    • You're right it hasn't expired.

I held off buying one hoping the rep would come back to answer my question about the batteries.

    Hi you can call them on Phone (02) 9211 0898 or (02) 9211 0376.

The guy I spoke to said you get 2 batteries if you upgrade for $29 - but I recommend calling them. It says on their site the special is finishing soon.

    • Thanks for your help abacus.

  • I just want the battery - cant see it but

  • I rang them today and they said the 6 cell battery by itself is about $85 plus post. Ring them - number above

    • Would you recommend upgrading to 1GB Ram for $25 and getting the extra battery for $29?

  • chichi - you know it's a linux computer and that's why its cheaper than with XP. Maybe someone can help about the RAM and battery and what programs you can run on it. Officeworks have them in their shops - maybe you should have a look and pick their brains. Also 7" screen and keyboard is pretty small(est)

  • Great price.
