CAFFITALY / Map Coffee Capsules at Coles for $4 a Pack of 10

50

I noticed that Coles had the Map/Caffitaly coffee capsules advertised in this week's catalogue. They must be introducing them to their stores as I haven't seen them there before. Price is $4 for a 10 capsule box, says you save $1. As Harvey Norman and Officeworks charges $6.50 for the same box, it is a good deal for anyone with a Caffitaly compatible machine.

This works out to be 40c per capsule which is the same price as Woolworths regular price, $6.44 for 16 capsules.

So it will only be of benefit if there is no Woolworths nearby but there is a Coles or
the particular flavours on offer are those you prefer.

    • How does this rate compared to the Gloria Jeans caps ?

      • +2

In my opinion they are well ahead of Woolworths brand capsules and as good as (if not better -depending on your taste)as Gloria Jeans.

Agree. The Woolworths branded pods don't come close to these and GJ pods.

        • +1

I stopped buying the Woolies Pods. And basically stock up big time when the GJ ones are 2 boxes for 12 dollars.

I am also yet to try to the Lavazza ones because they are so pricey.

        • GJ is my preferred. I too stocked up on that special, have since runout though.

Have tried the Lavazza and IMO not better than Map or GJ, certainly overpriced.

        • What machine does the GJ capsules use?

    • Except the Woolworths are tasteless and weak compared to either the Map or Gloria Jeans.

Sorry Redog888 but your logic is very flawed. Its like saying Black and Gold Batteries are as good as Duracell or Energiser.

My logic is not flawed simply because you don't agree. I was simply commenting on the pure $ cost of each offer as others do on this forum. Each to his own. As a matter of fact we refill the pods with other coffee anyway.

Reddog888's original post: "This works out to be 40c per capsule which is the same price as Woolworths regular price, $6.44 for 16 capsules."

You comparing two different products = flawed logic and misleading what is a very valid OZB find by the OP.

OP found cheap MAP capsules. Good find and I for one appreciated it. It has nothing to do with the el cheapo Woolworths pods or your home made ones!

The aldi ones can be bought for 25 cents/capsule. If you care about cost only and not the type of cap that's one option available and a better price than woolies/coles.

This deal is cheaper than the usual price for these specific caps, I don't believe there's a better price around?

Yet another reason to bypass Woolies - I find that Woolies capsules regularly jam in my Aldi machine when ejecting. Requires a knife to prise capsule out. The Map's don't . There must be a slight, indiscernible difference in capsule shape.
