  • Thanks mate!
Be very quick only 2 left :-)
Got one for connecting laptop to TV/Monitor.
Just don't know if its DVD-Dual Link (24 +1 pin) or not.

    • I dont know if anything today actually uses dual link, i think it is just a theoretical kind of thing

24+1 is a normal DVI plug, like this http://www.chinawholesalegift.com/pic/Electrical-Gifts/Compu…

Some devices do not have the +1 pin which is the large flat one you can see on the right.
If yours doesnt just grab some tweezers and pull the pin out

      • take a look at this pic:
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DVI_Connector_Types.svg

What I already have is a DVI-D (single link) 18+1 cable that came with my monitor.
My laptop has a DVI-D (dual link) 24+1 connection.
I know that the "extra" pins are for analog (as HDMI is only 19 pins) but I would like a cable that is 24+1.
Alot being sold are 18+1 including Monster cables and Belkin's DVI-HDMI offering.

If I get a 18+1 instead of the 24+1 I'm looking for, and the original cable is long enough, I'll gladly pass on the cable to another OzBargain member.

Dual-link DVI? Required by 30" monitors, like the Dell 3007WFP.

  • gone

    • yup.
      Did you get one?

      • Nope - just missed out as I was registering….. :o(

  • Still shows 2 when I checked (I didn't buy as you have to create an account, so maybe there really is none if I got to the checkout):
"5 meter HDMI to DVI Cable - Was:$99.00
    Model No: 5MHDMI-DVI
    Price: $10.00
    Quantity Available: 2"

  • yay got one. I was almost going to buy one from deal extreme, but this one was so much better value, expecially with the 12 month warranty

  • all gone, DOH!

  • Glad to see some of you got some.

  • Damn… would have love one of these two, perfect for the LCD in the lounge to connect the lappie too.

there are some other good prices on that site too…

  • Hey, it seems to back up at $15 this time, 81 available!

  • That's a great price. I've never known about Pioneer having an online shopfront. When did this all come about?

  • Excellent bargain for $10 delivered; shame it's now $15.

  • Got the cable today.
Is a 24+1 pin so I am very happy :-)

Even at $15, its a good buy.
It will cost me $5-$10 to get a HDMI-DVI adapter for a $10-$20 5 metre HDMI cable.
Might get another one in the future.

Thanks moo for the great bargain :-)
