    Ridiculous prices for a new heart scanner. 0.1" bigger screen, a better camera and a couple of OS upgrades that'll probably be deployed on the next firmware update on the entire Samsung galaxy platform.

        not to forget, all these are imported stock so having 1 year warranty from manufacturer. All A-tick Samsung Australian stock comes with 2 years local manufacturers warranty. So be cautious when you are buying any imported mobile phone.

          But not from SAMSUNG Australia. The phones would need to go back to the country of original sale for warranty from the manufacturer (SAMSUNG) - and we do not know where that is, it could be Hong Kong, or USA, or wherever.

        It's not 'water proof' its water 'resistant' huge difference. A finger scanner. You do realize one of the new apps developed will keep all that data including your fingerprint, especially Google. Google loves creating profiles of people…

          Who cares? You just over exaggerated features. Features are what sells a smart phone. What if someone had taken your comment seriously and tried putting it in a pot of water? I just saved them buying a new phone so I do care…

          Your annoyed at screen swiping because that's the only feature you've been used to, you may soon get annoyed at scanner your finger too when it doesn't reconize it some days. Either way…

          but you can put the s5 in a pot of water if your want to for whatever reason.
          it's water resistant down to 1m of water for as long as 30 minutes.

          what are you on about mate
          i love swipe to unlock.
          finger scanner is just a gimmick that i would never use.
          but it is something that some people would use.

      Absorbent prices for new releases are nothing new. Earlier s-series fared no better. Give it a couple of months and they will most likely be sub $500

      I could agree more the current prices are a bit of a joke.

          I though the term came from absorbing ones money. At the current price all my money will be gone. I feel quite the fool now.

      The improvements to the display go beyond the slight size increase. It also has an updated SoC, much better battery life and the IP67 rating that holden93 mentioned above.

      And I really don't see how the price is ridiculous - it's hardly anything out of the norm. All new flagships cost around this much directly after release.

    These are grey import phones from Hong Kong. It has 12 months warranty.

    uniquemobiles has a very bad rating.

    I think in hongkong they donot pay GST that why you can get it for that price.
