Can you please include the delivery cost. Cheers.

  • Will this work with the Xbox One?

Hey guys I bought this headset last week. I can confidently say they are amazing and worth every cent! Have only used with the PS4 so far, but man I did not realize how much sound we actual miss while gaming

  • Does anyone know how to connect this to a [Pioneer] receiver?

  • +1

Hopefully the Z seven will be on again after this. Would consider getting it for PC.

You can use optical out on these headsets

    • I bought the xbox one thinking of doing that. After doing research I decided against it and sold the headset to another user. For starters I didn't have an optical port, although it's possible to buy a USB extension for about $30. But I believe that your soundcard has to be Dolby Digital Live (DDL) supported and very few are because of the royalties if you want to get 7.1 sound. My card supports 7.1 sound but is not DDL. Otherwise you can get normal stereo.

  • Gets a bit hot under the ears after an hour of play…

    • Relax, bit of radiation wont hurt…

  • Bought these last time COTD had these at $99.95 (a week or 2 back). Great headphones at this price, although with extended play, not as comfortable as my Siberia V2 headset imo.

Do you need to have the mobile cable connecting the headset and ds controller for chat on PS4, or is there a way to get chat going wirelessly as well? I've already installed the update.

What would people suggest for a wired head set for PC?

    • +2

If you are fine with Stereo sound, I can recommend the Steelseries Siberia V2 headset.

They're a comfortable headset which I've found can be worn for hours without becoming uncomfortable.

Bought mine a while back for $60-odd off ebay.

Sony Pulse Elite, its like 150 on ebay. Its wireless (plug n play) and wired. Even works on xbox one with the stereo adapter.

I've noticed the Turtle Beach Z Seven is on sale again - https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/38458/product/turtle-…

Does anyone know anything about this? The reviews I've seen were very against buying the headset although they had $300+ as the price of the item in their minds. Is it worth it for a $100 headset?

    • Thanks all for your responses.

  • Thanks got one for Smith.

    • Who is Smith?

I got the XP510's from COTD before and they are fantastic. For those wondering I think it will work perfectly well with the Xbox One (its through optical). The setup diagram is identical to the one for the XP510's. Both this an the XP510's require the xbox headset adapter for chat. Hope that clears some stuff up

Here is Turtle Beach's comparability information. You'll see the XP510's and the PX51's are the same for Xbox One.

  • Any comparison between this and the PS3 wireless headset?

I own a PS3 wireless headset no complains except the short battery life, but this price is too tempting to resist

  • Hi, just want to check if this headset can be used to connect to PC for skype chat and movies?

    • You can, but if you only need it for PC, I'd say other headsets would probably do it better. Audio from your pc is via either Optical cable, RCA or Bluetooth. Microphone is via Bluetooth or using a cable which isn't included. Using Bluetooth for both at once seems to drop the audio quality a lot. Also, I've been told the microphone doesn't sound too great even by itself.

  • Damn it. Went out this morning and bought the Afterglow wireless from EBGames. Hope they'll refund or offer me store credit or I'll end up with two headsets :(

Anyway, quick review on the Afterglow
    * Decent sound quality
    * Build quality isn't as great as I expected for $140. The plastic on top feels like it could break if you're not careful enough.
    * Don't get it if your TV is hooked up to a 5.1 system. PITA that I had to keep replacing the cables for audio out and the headset.

  • cheers…missed out on the first time it was listed…got myself a pair for my PS4! :D

  • Keen on a set of these for my xbox 360. Will they work on my MacBook Pro at all?

Im using them on my pc with realtek onboard sound card and getting dobly digital live. Realtek do dobly digital live but its locked. Just have to hack it.

I thought ozbargain is under COTD group a few months ago as the deal from COTD got massive up vote. Butt not anymore now. Did I miss something about the battle?

    • Was an April fool's joke.

  • I had the PX5s but the transmitter died and i have been looking for a new headset and just purchased these. ~109 delivered is not a bad price but im guessing these are getting cleared for a new model.

  • Purchased after regretting not pulling the pin last time…and paid the price, well $9 extra anyways for P+H. Thanks OP.

  • I picked up the XP510's when they were on last time but received them on Thursday only to find that the power button on the left ear-cup "rattles". Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm wondering whether I'll have the same problem if I return them and and try another pair?

    • +1

Yep the rattle is an issue with all XP510's I think. Read about it in a couple reviews and mine do it too. Only noticeable if you shake your head from side to side or up and down rapidly. Unless you're Angus Young, it won't be an issue during normal play.

  • Get the xp510 for xbone and px51 for ps4

  • Received an email indicating the item has been shipped with a tracking number

  • Just got mine today.

The $350 headphones don't come with a 5V adaptor to power the station?

Does anybody elses headset hiss when turned on and with nothing playing?

    • there's a usb cable included that powers the transmitter (station)by plugging it in to your usb port of your console. Quick question, could anyone connect via bluetooth to the ps4?

      • Ah I was hoping that, thanks.

I believe they'll be including ps4 bluetooth compatibility in an upcoming patch. For now I think you just have to plug the headset into your controller.

    • Hi

Yes there is noise on the headphones when on.

Just for others' sake, I charged mine through a phone USB charger which should supply more current for faster charging (not sure if the USB port from the back of the XBOX 360 supplies only the standard 0.5 MA.

Others also report that the headset is on if you plug in to recharge, but when I hold the ON button for about 5 secs, it does say charging battery and the lights flash differently so may be off.

As far as sound quality goes, it is not very good. I can confirm that there is only a very small amount of bass and if you use this for music in MUSIC mode, you will be terribly disappointed. This is in comparison with my M50.

I would definitely only use this when I can't disturb the rest of my family with my surround stereo system. The bass with explosions are so much more enjoyable with the stereo (admittedly quite a bit more expensive with Yamaha receiver, Monitor Audio and JBL speakers and Yamaha subwoofer).

Have spent an hour or so with XBox 360 Halo3 but I have to say I am not sure if the surround sound from the headset is working effectively.

      Cheers.

PS quite impressed with COTD speed of delivery however.
