Good price. Got 1. Wireless ffinicky. If unable to get cable to tvpad best to get either a separate wireless extender or a pair of ethernet over power plugs.

I have installed hundreds of tvpad3 onsite in Sydney, only few people need a wireless extender or power-line adapter. If there is like no more than 10 meters between tvpad and your router, no many wall between them, it works all fine. You just need to set your wireless security to WPA/WPA2.

You can still watch live tv and video on demand if your bandwidth around 2 Mbps, wil smooth after streaming a while. If your bandwidth is around 1 Mbps, you cannot get smooth streaming for sure.

I'm assuming you're asking 'need unlimited data'? Depending on the bitrate quality of the stream, how much you watch & whether the unit is turned off; I'd say you'd need between 100-500GB/mth DL quota.

WELTV is so cool with FOX and other US channels and no subscription fee, one click recording function and quality switch for video on demand contents.

What is the difference between WELTV standard & premium editions?
WELTV standard and premium can access to same live tv channels and VOD content
WElTV premium come with a better chipset and better graphic, more USB ports, HDMI in and out for recording.Also Premium come with a better optimized android system. Premium is more popular in US as you need to pay subscription fee for the standard model after the first year.
Due to different marketing, the WELTV standard is also free in Australia with a bit more expensive than US.

TVPAD has proved its reliability for tvb channels. Every time tvb takes down the channel a few days later it works again
They are in a lawsuit with tvb and it still works.
Which clearly shows they aren't scared and cancelling channels. Reliability is the key issue.
