  • damn that is cheap! i am after one of these. wish i lived in melbourne!
someone buy one for me and post it to me in Perth, and I'll pay you $70

  • Do you know if it's store specific?

    • Not 100% sure sorry. Looked to be part of the big sale they are doing though, so hopefully it's available at all stores.
Can only say it's definitely available at Highpoint.

  • +3

Yeah that is crazy cheap, I paid $79 for this. Great grinder, easy to clean, been chomping up my coffee daily for over a year.

    • Agreed, it makes good coffee.

    • +1

Haha, I paid $160 years ago and never looked back! Until now. Now I want two!

  • By looking at the price, this could an ex-demo.

    • +2

I picked up one, brand new in original packaging. Doesn't appear to have been used.

      • All stocks in a sealed box?

  • +2

wow bargain I paid $100 for mine

  • +1

So many coffin machines on sale lately.

Leftovers from this deal I think,

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/137992

Bad form ozbargainers for not clearing them out then, or maybe good form for getting the price down more.

Perhaps mostly due to people being too lazy to go to the store after a dummy spit about the quickly exhausted online stock.

  • +1

Perfect, I just picked up Rancilio today

  • +2

Just got off the phone from Highpoint.
    Sold out everywhere it seems

  • best grinder for the buck! so cheap. highly recommended. bought it for $99 when it was on sale at target many years ago….

  • -2

Would anyone be able to pick one up and post to Sydney? Can Paypal you cash and cover all postage expenses. Cheers

  • +3

sold out in the following stores… Melton, Airport West and Highpoint

    • Thanks for the heads up

  • +1

Just called Chermside, QLD, none in stock there.

  • just picker up the last one at fountain gate. thanks!

  • I have seen it reduced on their site about 2 weeks ago but could not find any stock in Sydney.

  • +2

Freaking bargain. Seriously. I bought mine 3-4 years ago to go with my Rancilio Silvia and paid about $140 for it. Pretty good burr grinder for the price even at $100-$140. But at $39!!?? You'd be nuts not to buy it.

  • Why don't people positive vote anymore?

    • +9

i only positive vote if i land the deal.. no stock, no vote

  • +1

Sure is a great price. I have this one and the one under it (440 I think). Im happy with the 440 I use it daily and no problems with it. The 480 I have used a couple times, seems good also, but collecting dust as I would have thought the 440 would have died by now, but still going strong. So in my eyes the sunbeam grinders are well made.

    • +1

same.. i've been using my 440 everyday for 2 years .. hasn't missed a beat

      • Yep, damm good devices. Might sell the 480 cos it is only collecting dust

        • +1

Apparently the 480 produces a better grind.
          Suggest you keep it.
Use it now while it's still covered under the 5 year motor burn out warranty.

    • They have the same mechanics as far as I know, just a nicer metal exterior on this one..

  • Would be happy to sell mine - email if interested

    • Interested, how much?

      • Yeah - $39 but will need to add postage if not picking it up. It's on gum trees.

  • Awesome bargain!! Bought this grinder 2nd hand 4 years ago and hasn't missed a beat!

  • ndhobson still want to sell your grinder?

    • Yeah, it's on gum trees in the Sunshine Coast

  • Just got off the phone to the epping plaza store - no stock. Bugger

  • The bloke at Highpoint (George) was a nice guy and really funny too. He told me that there were only 27 in the system as of Thursday and that they definitely didn't have 20 at Highpoint and perhaps the OP had seen one or two ontop of a stack of boxes of another machine. Thats how they had them displayed. He said the country stores were the best bet but since then they are pretty much all finished too.
BTW the similar Breville machine is on just as big a discount ($39)

    • I was considering getting the sunbeam then decided, hey I'm an ozbaraginer. If my Breville grinder isn't good enough, I'll make it good enough

      • False economy, sell your old one on ebay and turn a profit. That's what I did and the sunbeam was 60 at the time.

  • None left in Vic. :(

  • So ndhobson do want to sell your grinder or not?
I'm interested if you want to sell.

    • See above

  • +1

    None left in SA

  • None in Point Cook - though I did pick up a knock box for $9 (it's also on offer) which was a reasonable bargain :

    http://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/electrical/kitchen-appliances…

  • Will Myers price match ?

    • Don't think so. I've just tried Good Guys over here in WA who are selling it for $199 to see if they can price match but the lady on the phone said it was too low.

    • I bought the previous one for $69 and wanted to buy another one as a $39 gift.

GG told me today they can only price match unless I can prove the item is still in the local store or online…somehow, the supervisor was kind enough to call each single store for me while I was waiting. Unfortunately, Harris Scarf has been ozbargained.

The supervisor even told me that was a crazy price and she would consider to grab one herself at that price if my price match succeed…that possibly explain why she was so keen to call around the local stores on my behalf.

If anyone would be so kind to get me one and post it I'll give them 79 dollars :-)

  • None in Launceston…

  • My GF bought one before the sale but was able to use 28 degrees price protection to save $130. Winning
